The fourth outing on Lis Sarroca's Maai Records is a female affair and consists out of five tracks from aspiring artists continuing the label's (housey) melodic vibe. Milanese by choice but Mexico City girl by heart Glo My isn't new to the scene as she's had several outings on labels House Salad or Veneno over the past years. Her mixture of Deep House, Breaks and UKG surely makes her one of the artists to look out for in the future especially with her Squid Game-reference, namely Sang Woo, on Lis' label. Sang Woo is an advanced Deep House track with such a finesse that it works in any kind of set that aims to hound people over the floor and pushes dancers to their peak. Its temporizing built-up with a smooth synth line as well as the tonal change in synths, working out the bleepiness in the track, create long forgotten peak-time moments with proper Deep House music. If latter had to be proven again, then Sang Woo fired a salvo at those moments reactivating our memories that music can be both: club-oriented and beautiful.

James Curd is back on his freshly minted PRONTO label with more musical manoeuvres on the ‘Psychedelic Freak EP’. The multi-talent began his career in his hometown of Chicago where his vast range lead to a stream of releases on some of the electronic underground’s most recognised imprints; Exploited, Dirtybird, Tsuba, Trax Records, Classic Records and Ministry Of Sound are just some of those to have championed his sound.  ‘Psychedelic Freak’ is the third release to arrive on PRONTO, brilliantly maintaining the quality threshold set by the first collaborations with Marcellus Pitman, Marius de Vries, Jacques Renault and Oliver Dollar.

The OG sees the Adelaide producer in sparkling form. Hypnotic vocals rise over drums and weighty bass, as evocative pads and bubbling arpeggios combine to set the heads-down mood. Man of the moment Tour-Maubourg re-imagines the track as a sumptuous deep house groover. The prolific Parisian pitches the distinctive vocal licks against a solid four four rhythm, with luscious chords, staccatos and snares combining for an irresistibly authentic backroom meditation.  Adding a healthy dose of disco to the sonics, Swedish duo Drop Out Orchestra work their magic. Slap bass, funk-flecked guitar and horns are elegantly blended, the arrangement evolving as strings and chord progressions liven up the groove. Not to be outdone, James Curd steps in with his explosive ‘Mushroom Mix’, upping the tempo and adding live bass as acid lines drive the rhythm.  Rex Club regular and renowned digger Ten Fingerz joins the line up with his ‘Freaky French Mix’, reframing the cut with the help of deviant overdubs, emotive chords and thick synth bass over heavy dancefloor drums.  Closing out is the ‘MTS HER Boot’. Here the acid soaked ‘Mushroom Mix’ is reprised with the addition of Megan The Stallion’s slick vocal flow and vivacious lyrical thrust!

The main lead was made with Massive and recorded through Klarkteknik's KT-2A and EQP-KT. The drums were compressed on a DBX 160X. The processing was recorded through and Allen & Heath mixer.

Il commence à produire spontanément en découvrant ce style et l'art du sampling, ce qui lui offre des perspectives de création sans frontières où il est libre de piocher dans chacune des influences musicales qui lui sont chères. 

Très axées soulful et club looking, les productions de Chinau veulent établir une connexion entre le dancefloor et les âmes pour créer une symbiose pleine d'ondes positives. Grâce à de nombreuses sorties sur House Running, Snazzy Trax, Lief Records et De La Groove Records, Chinau continue de véhiculer des valeurs de tolérance et de partage à travers sa musique car la vie est belle !

Au delà de ses capacités musicales, Chinau apprécie également les bons mouvements de danse, ce qui rend son DJ set doublement excitant !

Klasse Wrecks' first release of 2023 comes storming out of the gate, hot on the tail of Mr. Ho's previous album and his collaborative 'Eu-Li' EP with Mogwaa. 'Angel Number 909' is a collection of three versions of one track, the over-riding element in the EP is an incessant and catchy acidic synthline that bounds across racketing breakbeats and galloping basslines. Alongside the 'US Breaks' version is an old school influenced 'Acid House' version as well as a moodier 'House' mix. Three pedigree tracks that will be sure to go the distance on any dancefloor.

Emerged from the ruins of the Soviet Union, Alex Wulf found escape through 90s MTV. In a summer camp the local hoodlums introduced him to club music and the local street rave scene. After moving to Berlin in 2014, Alex Wulf started creating mythic techno fueled by machine rituals. He has performed helicopter pads, deserted island bunkers and everything in between in his 20+ years and released on Clan Destine, Ohm Series and Robodada.
