This recording is with my Songwriting group. I initially gave them the song and chord progressions and style notes and let them play with it and what they came up with was very similar to the original. We rehearsed and performed Anak Krakatau at our first Music Networking night

I played a vocal recording I'd made two years ago to Nicolas this week and he liked it so we worked on a bit then he started playing anew section and I wrote some lyrics about dinner to go with it. I played it to my younger son and he started singing it so it has potential as a cheesy Pizza flavoured pop song!

Friday And Saturday Night

I created a fashion/expression set on Polyvore and wrote lyrics, no music. Later that evening I gave the lyrcis to the jam group at our Music Night and said I have no music you can play with it as you like. Two guys from a rock band came and the bass player is singing here with everyone else jamming. I like it very much but when I came home I did my own version

I wanted to do my own version of my son after the Music Night, So came home played around on guitar and did this. I wanted it to be more moody!

I was looking up new rock music on YouTube and discovered Black Keys and I was amazed I never heard of them before. This song was inspired by their music and is also about how I felt after breaking my elbow. Coincidentally one of the groups at Songwriting wrote about a bird who couldnt fly and my elder son had a song with a similar theme but he needed extra lyrics so I said he could lift what he wanted from my song

I'm working on this with Nicolas. I'd found my old lyrics and chords and showed him a demo I'd made a backing track for. It was originally composed with Terry playing guitar who sang on Cross the Line
