Devising a mysterious and dark soundscape, Kalmer employs thunderous synth lines and a deep and steady bassline, which captivates the listener across the title track. ‘Left Behind’ blends a wide range of elements from across the dance music spectrum, resulting in a euphoric, yet powerful cut. Rounding off the EP, ‘On The Edge’ exudes a dramatic atmosphere, building tension with haunting synths and staccato rhythms.

Leipzig based producer Marcel Sterling, aka Marc DePulse, is a really visionary and authentic talent. After his appearance in our UpSideDown series he comes back to present his first solo EP on Sincopat. On remix duties, the also great and German artist Animal Trainer.
'Obsolate' starts the pack with a hypnotic and forward-thinking atmosphere that proves the avant-garde vision of DePulse. The electronic trip continues with 'Anno Dazumal', a huge tribute to the 80s' synths, where Marc plays around and gets back to his old days. On'Think Twice' we find a super special piece of electronic music, where Marc switches to a deep and dark mood. The production duo Animal Trainer created a remix with a strong rhythm, adding some original items and going a step forward into the club vibe. Enjoy!

Drumcode starts 2020 with a sterling EP from genre hero Thomas Schumacher, his first on the label after a long association with Adam Beyer. No ifs or buts , if you’re a techno fan, Thomas Schumacher holds a place in your heart - his 1997 classic ‘When I Rock’ still gets rinsed today. Thomas has a vast body of stellar work on his influential former label Spielzeug Schallplatten, including a release from Adam Beyer, and he continues to deliver pin-sharp productions via his Electric Ballroom imprint, including a scorching remix of ‘The House of House’, the 1994 classic from Cherry Moon Trax. The rework was first played by Beyer at Time Warp and has been a 2019 highlight. 

He first contributed to Drumcode in 2018 with ‘The Unseen’, a stirring contribution to ‘A- Sides Vol.7’, setting up a maiden EP with ‘Crimson’. Beginning with the brilliant ‘Feist’, it’s a no-nonsense brain melter, as 303 arpeggios bloom and recede, creating a thrilling rhythmic intensity throughout. The title track ‘Crimson’ is crafted around two minutes of tension-building synths, before a beat finally appears and a rasping deep bassline commands the dancefloor. ‘Anker’ brings the rave with eagle -eye focus, unleashing a wall of fierce acid to round out the pack.

Alfa Romero is the multi faceted duo comprised of Marzio and Lorenzo. Both highly acclaimed musicians in their own right, the pair combine their many years of experience in electronic music for their all-encompassing Alfa Romero project. Working together as producers and DJs, the duo explore a shared musical vision in a partnership that aims to broaden the horizons of electronic music.

As producers, Alfa Romero share a passion for club friendly music. Although their tracks keep the focus on the dancefloor itself, they come with rich colours, deep emotions and strong rhythms. Their deft ability at weaving subtle melodies into the mix also enables them to create moments of beauty that are rarely seen on dancefloors elsewhere.
