The deteriorating situation in Gaza strip has led many young Palestinian men and women to try to flee Gaza strip to Europe through the sea and putting their lives on the line.

I’ve lived my whole life in war
My age has become a year calendar and it all repeats itself.
I've Tried to changing reality but was always forced to stay silent

They only dream about peace “they are not seriously interested in peace” and shower us with fabricates
I held them responsible for leaving my home  
University graduate and all I have is a certificate framed and hanged on the wall
Can’t find a job, can’t have a living
All I think about is to risk my life and flee from such a life
My depression has crossed all limits. I became a burden on my family
A 30 years old and still asking my parent for pocket money
Six am is the getaway time, heading to the port
Five Shekels charged me as a tax to get to the port
Only then I started thinking: is this right thing im doing or not?
Doesn’t matter anymore, I’m leaving. I leave the rest to God and my parents prayers. 
My head is full of my dreams, yet I don’t know what to do
And I don’t know what is awaiting there for me  
All I can hope for is a life that I can easily and only describe as better life.

Leaving death behind, they took off to a mysterious destiny. Thousands of young Palestinians and Palestinian families have taken the no return trip taking with them a destructive memories of homes and aggression of the Israeli occupation

I was in a hurry, yeah. I got on the boat, yeah
My thoughts started to build on an illusion
The boat took off, we could barely see the shore
People on the boat were singing and dancing with the children
The further we went into the sea, it started to get dramatic
The small boat start revealing its secrets
We are too many, the load is serious
We have to either throw our food and water or ourselves
So we throw all we got to sea
Our fear is floating and raising. All started shouting and yelling
We saw death right before our eyes and the eyes started to be swollen
We stayed with the sea, with the floating bodies
Drinking from the salty water around us
To survive as long as we can until help get to us
We multiplied our supplication and prayers to God
God listened and got us out of this catastrophe
We saw a huge boat, we started yelling, crying of hope and happiness
Waving and screaming PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME!
They got us on the boat one by one
The boat head to the land, we’ve been saved
When we arrived the police detained us and started interrogating us
Police: where do you come from? Who planned the smuggle trip?

I didn’t understand, nor realize
That I escaped from a prison to another prison and exile
Didn’t I tell you that it’s better for you at your country?
