Spa Day 001: Local Group @wearelocalgroup

When we first heard Local Group doing their thing one afternoon at a "Dirty little rave" 😜in a field near Oxford, it was love at first dance.

A few years, radio show, gigs and lockdowns down the line and they have kindly kindly offered up just over an hour of high energy goodness to kickstart our much awaited Spa Day mix series. 

Big shouts to you both for the mix we canny wait to see you in the dance or at the helm of a proper system once again.

Those who were present at the festivals final two hours this year you’ll be no stranger to their anything goes sound. Fancy a bit of stupid summer nostalgia? Look no further.

Twistmix 003 - Spa Day

For March, I am delighted to welcome Twisted Festival to the Voices studio. A true ray of sunshine in the UK festival circuit, Twisted are real champions of the underground electro scene. Join co-founder Hannah in the studio alongside Alfie and Liam, resident party starters "Spa Day", as they chat to Tris about their next event [Venue MOT in April] and what to expect from this years festival!

Since moving to Lisbon I’ve wanted to refocus on my mixing output a bit more, and now that the festival is deep on sleep mode (for now) it may well be a good time to share. 

With the juggling of musical projects all in extra curricular time I wanted to find a slightly more formulaic way of capturing all the music I’m consuming so frequently which recently has been excessive. A lot of new a lot of old but I felt I wanted it to have somewhere to go. So this home recordings mix is the first of idk how many entries into THIS DJing sketchbook.

This was recorded probably around May our June this year after I took delivery of the new Dj booth I had made shout out to Leo.

It’s a bit of a ecstatic release of a bunch of different genres and tracks that I’d not had the ability to play for months, if you were at our set at Twisted you may recognise one or two of the sunnier soaked ones near the outset.
