Melbourne duo Not Just Me return to Thick As Thieves for ‘Through The Blinds’, accompanied by Audiojack on remix duties.

Longstanding members of Australia’s music scene, Brian Fantana & Ben Silver’s Not Just Me project saw the two DJs and producers combine under one guise last year to reveal their debut single, ‘Syren’. Returning to Thick As Thieves, the pair link up once again to close February with ‘Through The Blinds’, backed by a remix from Gruuv bosses Audiojack.

Combining percussive grooves and snaking basslines with haunting piano riffs, ‘Through The Blinds’ welcomes an impactful cut that can shift the energy of any room or festival in an instant, while Audiojack’s take sees the Gruuv head honchos and Crosstown Rebels regulars up the pace to deliver a soaring interpretation perfect for the peak hour.

Kicking things off in style for our first release of 2022 is none other than Etiquette head-honcho and label boss, Hannah Wants, with brand new single, 'Blood, Sweat, Tears'. 

Since her last release on Etiquette, Hannah has been playing sold out shows across the world and releasing on an impressive list of A-list labels including Stress, Armada Subjekt, BANDIDOS, Ultra, Polydor and many more. 

'Blood, Sweat, Tears' marks the first new music from Hannah on her Etiquette imprint since 2020 and boy is she back with a banger! The perfect peak-time club weapon that showcases her inimitable sound with a rumbling sub, enchanting mid-range synth melodies and mesmerising pads alongside transitional hypnotic vocal licks, ominous percussion and a powerful bassline. Magician On Duty proudly celebrates the return of Dnl Mike (@dnl_mike) with his highly anticipated fourth release, a project that encapsulates the essence of his musical evolution and his unwavering devotion to storytelling through sound.

Dnl Mike first appeared on the label in 2024 with his debut project Fantasy. More than an introduction, it was a statement: a journey through modular synths, organic instrumentation, and cinematic textures that reflected his diverse background as a multi-instrumentalist. The release showcased not only his mastery of the saxophone, piano, guitar, and drums, but also his ability to translate those traditions into a fresh electronic language.

His second release deepened this narrative, weaving warmth and intricacy into the Magician On Duty catalog. Here, he began to shape his signature: deep, melodic, and textural soundscapes that balance meditative introspection with rhythmic drive.

Through remix contributions and collaborative projects, Dnl Mike has since built bridges between genres and cultures, bringing both soulful energy and modern electronic precision to every work. His versatility reflects his eclectic influences—ranging from blues and jazz to rock and classical—while remaining rooted in a timeless sense of melody and atmosphere.

Now, with his fourth release, Dnl Mike delivers his most refined and emotional statement to date. A collection that feels equally at home in intimate listening spaces and expansive dancefloors, the record expands on the themes of transformation, connection, and inner journey. Track of the Day: Eric Sneo “Organon”

After a great success obtained by the first ep of Bunte Bummler, it's time to present a very expected release in the darkest label of Suruba family. We are talking about the remixes of "The Hunger", the main track (released in March of this year) by the German duo Bunte Bummler, with the collaboration of the German Daniel Wilde.
For this occasion we are very proud to count for the first time in Suruba X with two major producers who we deeply admire; the Valencian AFFKT and the Greek Berlin-based Siopis.

Fabian Winkels and Manuel Vobis are Bunte Bummler a very young couple of German producers who made themselves known with an ep on 8Bit Records. From now on they’ve regularly collaborated in Suruba X, Cecille, Mono Records and 8Bit again. 

In the original we found an interesting collaboration with Daniel Wilde, a regular of Souvenir Records and who sang in the last album of their owners, Tiefschwarz.

With an exquisite taste and a perfect Suruba X taste, we find the first of two remixes
signed by the Spanish AFFKT. After several years releasing on labels like Mobilee, Buzzin Fly, Rekids, Skint, Rebirth, Cecille, Suara, Darkroom Dubs, OFF, Vakant, Mothership and his own label Sincopat ... words aren’t enough to describe the quality of this super remix.

For the second remix a regular of Get Physical, the Greek Siopis. More than 16 releases on the Berlin label let clear his way to produce, where he will soon release his new album. He’s been a producer we’ve been looking for a long time, mainly because his tracks represent exactly the "vibe" that Suruba X is looking for.

Although he already left us his remix in the original March release, the London-based Mexican Betoko, creator of one of the summer  tracks "Raining Again" and producer for labels like Diynamic, Supernature or Get Physical, has been encouraged to edit the original and he presents us an instrumental version of the remix

Finally, Bunte Bummler themselves, doing a re-edit of their original track giving us a twist and offering a different view ..  more clubby than the first one.
