Or Two Strangers opens the summer season with a new EP from label boss Antrim. Continuing to build on his success, the Cordoba resident ended 2022 looking back on what was another banner year. Choosey in his projects across the twelve-month stretch, Antrim delivered some of the year's most memorable releases, beginning with the Abi Ferraresi vocal led piece ‘Seek the Sun’. Released courtesy of Or Two Strangers it set the course for his latest vehicle via Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music entitled ‘Stax’, before delivering one of the year's most exciting cover productions ‘You’re Not Alone’ featuring Paula OS. With 2023 getting underway with an EP for Brazil’s long standing Warung Recordings, Antrim now returns to his comfortable home of Or Two Strangers with ‘Risk | Suru’. 

Destined to be a highlight in Antrim’s discography, ‘Risk’ lands with a sizable thump, as the Cordoba resident opts for a funkier approach to great effect. Warm capsizing basslines and phasing sonics serve as the anchor for emotionally resonant hooks and muted pianos to work their magic leading into the main break. A sweeping experience all its own, the centrepiece flows through deconstructed vocals and wind-swept effects, as the primary theme breathes in all its glory, eventually giving way for waves of phasing noise and a groovy finale. 

Beneath the timeless vibes of ‘Risk’ lies the equally excellent ‘Suru’. Rounding out the release in style, Antrim maintains the groovy energy of its predecessor, with chunky well-carved basslines and panning percussive arrangements setting the course for luminous chord stabs and heartfelt overlays. Sitting at the heart of the journey is a rich textural break, one where Antrim builds anticipation through phasing vocals and percussive-rides, before reaching a tasteful peak and balmy finale. 

Operating at the peak of his creative powers, Antrim continues to impress with his latest Or Two Strangers offering. A two-track showcase which sets the course for what promises to be a strong second half of 2023.

Two Are. The Ukrainian duo follow excellent releases on Siona, Armada and Lost in You with a brilliant interpretation here. Powerful, compelling and acutely mysterious, it's driving melodic qualities and richly textured groove make for an intense first act. As atmospheres evolve, distinctive stabs and vocal edits steal the air, before a one-minute break takes you further into a haze of thumping audio, perfectly setting up a grand finale. A brilliant remix from Two Are that's likely destined for the sets of the big boy brigade. Highly recommended. With 'Bring Back the Rave' Ziger really shows that there're no boundaries, as this striking melodic gem guides you to a full-on club laden, melodic hug of a release that will cause many smiles induced moments and instantly lift your mood. Continuing a strong summer season, Roger Martinez's Higher States welcomes Sistersweet to the label for her debut EP. Hailing from Russia, Sistersweet first emerged in 2021, recording 'Bali River' alongside side progressive house phenomenon Kostya Outta. Released via Balkan Connection, the track would set the course for a successful solo career, one where the Moscow resident would add La Foresta, Time After Time and Nick Warren's The Soundgarden to her discography, in turn earning praise from genre tastemakers Cid Inc, DJ Ruby, Emi Galvan and Ezequiel Arias, amongst others. Also highly regarded as a DJ, Sistersweet not only hosts her own weekly radioshow 'LUCH i SVETA' via Russia's popular Megapolisnight station, but is also well travelled, having performed from Ibiza to Sri Lanka to the far east. With 2024 already being highlighted by 'Cosmic Love', her debut for Time After Time, Sistersweet now adds Higher States to her resume with 'Aether / Echoes of Sirens'.

'Aether' gets the release underway and sits as one of Sistersweet's most engaging productions to date. Tight kick drums and smooth contoured grooves set the foundation for a narrative of fluttery percussive arrangements and youthful melodies. Pushing a daytime mood into the break; Sistersweet marries emotive themes with trailing sonics and soulful vocal fragments to great effect, building anticipation and emotion with each successive pass, as a tactful build eventually gives way to a thumping drop and blissed out finale. 

The companion piece 'Echoes of Sirens' acts as a perfect complement with its cosmic yet club-effective sound. Looking to bring even stronger musicality to her portfolio, Sistersweet flexes her melody crafting prowess once again, with a whimsical top line adding youthful exuberance to a sturdy dancefloor groove. The main break proves to be impactful, flowing through breakbeat rhythms and cascading melodies, expertly intertwined for maximum emotional response, before tight beats and balmy musical co-actions unite for a gorgeous finale that's sure to leave long lasting memories on all the daytime dancefloors this summer season.
