Simina Grigoriu bridges the heavy and the melodic realms of techno for her inaugural EP on Kuukou Records. An experienced globetrotter, Simina is known for taking great inspiration from her travels, so it comes as no surprise that the name she’s chosen for her own label, Kuukou stands for “airport” in Japanese. 

Ninja Princess provides an exotic sound exploration, setting off all the elements from the get go. We’re emerged into a vibrant melody with a progressive bassline, taking us from luscious vocals to winding synths within a matter of seconds. Alfred Heinrichs closes up the release with another minimalist and murky reconstruction. Keeping the subtle melodiousness at bay through harmonic chord arrangements, Heinrichs brings out the late night club appeal of the initial track, making for a perfect dancefloor banger.

Following its Brazil-World release collaboration plan, Clash Music brings a class-A team to the table. Anthony Rother is the name of the game with the exclusive track called "Man Up the Hill", a direct homage to our country with which Rother holds great affection.

Rother's signature retro analog electro synthesizer sounds come together with almost spoken vocals that talks about a "man up in the hill" (Rio de Janeiro's Christ the Redeemer), all surrounded by futuristic ambiences and melodic lines.

Summing up the original electro idea into a more hypnotic and minimal interpretation, Gui Boratto delivers a stylish remix that shows why he is Brazil's most acknowledge music producer at the moment.

It is an epic EP that will surely hold up to Clash Music's exclusive releases.
