Passarella Death Squad returns to their eponymous label with the long-awaited sophomore album ‘What We Are, You Shall Be’.

It features ten tracks of austere, beautifully-crafted electronica that commands and rewards close attention. Danny Passarella and Emilie Albisser have been at the forefront of the electronic underground for more than 15 years.

Their eclectic output takes in haunting tunes, sweeping soundscapes and plenty of high-impact cuts. They have collaborated with the likes of Perc, had their epic ‘Just Like Sleep’ featured prominently in the soundtrack of the BAFTA-winning video game ‘Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice’ and got support from tastemakers like Optimo, Daniel Avery and Norman Nodge.
They are also known as cult and provocative clothing designers and social activists with their ‘RA!SE’ publication working to shine a light on global human rights issues. It’s been 13 years since their self-titled debut LP gave the world a comprehensive look at their musical vision; now they are back with a follow-up that is sure to put them front and centre once again.

Superb album opener ‘In Heaven’ is a pounding harbinger of what will come with its controlled, beautiful vocal fusing roboticism and myth-laden imagery. ‘Creatures’ picks up the pace with Emilie’s whispered French lyrics echoing across the low thrum of the dagger-stab beat. The enigmatic ‘Just Like Sleep’ is an otherworldly lament with its melancholic synths and chords before ‘Solaris’ brings rays of light and a subtle sense of hope.
There’s ambient beauty to the mellifluous chords of ‘When They Die’ with its soft flutter of notes and a ghostly call ringing out over swarming synths before the pummelling beat of ‘No Mas’ kicks in. There is a gothic feel to the dark beats and vocals here that will get dance floors locked in and marching.

The title track’s dark-angel calls of “do not fear God” and “death is present” are paired with icy chords for a spine-tingling atmosphere over a rolling rhythm. Next up, ‘Empire’ employs a shivering, understated opening as chords waver beneath a wraith-like vocal.
Low, stripped-back drums define ‘From Dust to Deity’ as the piano melody mirrors the groove to make for something perfectly moody and hypnotic before ‘For Love’ is a suitably poignant ending to this expansive album.

‘What We Are, You Shall Be’ is a bold, adventurous, accomplished new record from this talented duo.

Whether he's a well-known producer working incognito or a new face in the scene, Echoes Of October makes every effort to unite genres in his melodic techno tracks. Mind The Black Moon is his first release on Ardor and it features two solo productions, a collaboration and a remix, all four delivering a euphoric sensation. The release is an innovated collection of emotional sounds that's not tethered to any specific style. 

The A-Side opener 'Black Moon' floats cosmic arpeggios over a polished bassline, followed by dark synth-sirens and a hypnotic delayed vocal loop. The second solo 'Confusion' sounds like it's been taken out of a deep freeze, with crisp, piercing details. It builds up on a rolling synth line into a mystic spoken vocal before things take an uprising turn ending in a main theme melody like a chainsaw. 

Hotflush Recordings and Life And Death rostered artist Locked Groove's remix of 'Confusion' transforms many of the original elements into another sphere. Delayed bells and hats, a driving drummed bassline, additional soft strings and vocals will lead into losing yourself and drift away. 

Last but not least, 'Perseo' completes this release with the collaboration of the Italian-based talent and Be Free label head honcho Jäger. The deepest thread on this EP glides along in airy percussive chugs and rides on endless arpeggio variations. The stretched arc of suspense finds its finale with a non-expected deep toned piano stab.

About the release :

French producers Mediane come back with their second EP of 2018. For the first time, they maked it with an international label : Ground Factory Records.  After releasing many big techno artits as Ben Sims, Dustin Zahn, Jerome Sydenham, Flug, Hans Bouffmyhre, Pfirter, label's boss Kalden Bess, Ground Factory sign Mediane for this GF076.
The EP includes 3 original tracks and a massive Avgusto's remix, German producer recognized for his releases on Flash Recordings.

About Mediane :

Oscillating between mental, atmospheric and acid techno, the identity of Mediane is marked. The project is the fruit of the collaboration of two friends, djs and producers. One offers a captivating and aggressive deep, the other an acid and devastating Techno. Since 2016, under the alias Mediane, they propose a symbiosis of their respective styles. 
After two first EPs released on Poincaré Records label respectively titled « Shade » and « Insomniak », Mediane starting strong 2018 with the track « The Next Rules » witch stood out by a premier on Sweet Musique. In February, it’s with « Brotherhood EP » including a remix from the german Lars Huismann on Solide Records label that Mediane cross step with many reviews, a premier on Jaelos chanel, many tracks playlisted in artist’s podcasts and the eponym track on the biggest techno Deezer playlist.

This differents releases allow Media to be supported by artists like Slam, Paco Osuna, Ferhat Albayrak, Anetha, Arnaud Le Texier, Alfredo Mazzilli, Mental Resonance, Krenzlin, Deraout, Xpansul, Djedjotronic, Hydrangea and many others.

Two other EPs was signed on the international label like Ground Factory Records (Canada) and Hypnotic Room (Japan) and more TBA.
