‘Body + Mind’ is nothing but a percussive journey around four different soundscapes that mark the match between both of these two elements.

There is a dualistic relationship between the human body and mind. Mind controls processing, ideas and consciousness; Body comprises all the physical aspects of the brain.

They exist as separate entities, but they are indissolubly linked to each other and they can find meeting points on multiple art forms. The “+” sign has an important role in the relationship between them. It refers to the high-energy music and it provides a real bond.

BAÏLE #46 is a blast as no other episode. We pulled a collab with Paris's cutting-edge collective Couvre x Chefs to host a global pool of guests: the LA-based Ableton-push whizzkid Amazondotcom, Rio's bar-spitter grime MC SD9, and fka Marginal Men Gustavo Elsas. As usual, I find time to sneak into a baile funk-laced mix.

Jaca Beats - Senta No Meu

A while back Max Le Daron released his first Album project ‘Unless Tomorrow’, an afro infused gem with loads of (vocal) collaborations (Joey Le Soldat, Stevo Atambire, Gan Gah aka Cheb Runner, FOKN bois, Azizaa, T’Challa, Kirani Ayat, …). He’s now asked some of his favorite producers to have a fresh take on a couple of the tracks of the album, gearing them up for the dancefloor. Expect a bunch of club ready reworks by LABOK, ALVVA, LA DAME, PATRICK, BJF & more... The EP explores and blends together different facets of actual club sounds.

LaBok had a go on the Freedom track, a mid tempo burner about freedom and righteousness featuring vocals by Joey Le Soldat & Azizaa. He adds some Amapiano and UK Funky elements with a hinge of Dancehall vibes, the track is somehow reminiscent of other Max Le Daron club oriented tracks.

A long time collaborator & friend Sonido Berzerk label head of Mexican Juke platform @tentoesturbo is a globally recognised producer and DJ extraordinaire having represented his sound on @boilerroomtv @djmagofficial @rinse.fm @bbc1xtra and a load of electronic music platforms.

Palo Monte is a 5 track EP which was inspired by his time growing up in the coast of Veracruz which was a settlement of African slaves that gained independence & freedom through revolt.

Each track shares a unique story and journey navigating through a history of Mexico’s indigenous cultural importance and its Afro diaspora influence.

“Luna Llena”, the literal translation of “full moon” in Spanish, is CXLI's interpretation of UK underground sounds through a Latin lens. Starting off the EP with a Reggaeton track felt natural, progressing through to Latin Bass and Afro-Latin pieces. Collaborations they have found bring out some of their favourite work, so it made sense to bring through long time familia Crème and Otdelta for ‘MIEL’ and ‘CALEÑA’.
