After just over a year on-air and more than 200k plays later Stay Cool transitions from a radio show into a label with our debut compilation. Altogether is a 50-track behemoth that spans two parts, Part. I is focused on slower Hip-Hop & R&B sounds, and Part. II is focused on faster electronic frequencies. 

Altogether takes its name from a few aspects in the recent history of the movement. It describes the compilation bringing together many of the different sounds and artists purveyed on the show, how quickly we’ve been able to grow in our short time on air as a result of the genuine relationships we’ve built through music and finally describes the ability of seangran and his pals to get through their own personal trials and tribulations thanks to the power of music and the strength of their real friendships. 

Thus despite being a free download it does come with one request: that you take some time out when listening to consider the people that have supported you and made you who you are today. Maybe even reach out to one you haven’t heard from in a while and just say “Hey”. Hard times can be difficult but if we help carry the weight of things that have been holding down those that we love it makes those times easier and our bonds stronger. We can not only survive, but thrive, when we begin to think “Altogether”.

iLL CAMILLE and the  FORTY OUNCE GOLD folks bring you the 3rd official "Millie Mondays" leak in preparation for  the release of her second project iLLUSTRATED. In a very B-Girl-meets-B Girl exchange, iLL CAMILLE calls on 9th Wonder's (& Jamla Records) frontswoman, Rapsody, to deliver a hip-hop homage to both of the two ladies' hometowns. With singer/songwriter Darryl "Sir" Farris smooth vocals and production by Ciscoe (Dj Ciscoe, respectively), "Same Lights''  serves as a good theme song for everyone puttin' on for their cities...LA to North Carolina...and abroad.

IVORY is the debut album from London based musician and producer, R-kay.

This body of work represents R-kay’s homage to the musical gravitas of the piano, which R-Kay cites as the starting point & key driver behind his creative process.

Since R-Kay released his last body of work ‘Groove Gems II’ he has further developed his sound, working as a contributor, musician and producer with many artists as well as composing for TV. IVORY serves as bold reintroduction and memento of R-kay’s development in sound & production. Sonically, he crafts a listening experience that converges upon his HipHop/Neo-Soul roots, whilst merging contemporary jazz and ambient elements, creating a moody yet expansive soundscape.

R-kay enlists the help of some of the UK’s most promising talent to explore the texture in our lives by tackling relatable extremes. The themes explore some of the more testing aspects of life (of which R-kay associates with a particularly volatile period in his own life). However, this is accompanied by hope, brightened up by moments of free flowing, ‘left’ musical expression (Searching, Greenhouse, The Reunion) which almost symbolises letting go and reclaiming one's peace and identity.
