Synthakt is a drum & bass producer with a penchant for punishment from Salzburg, Austria. He fuses pummeling bass and a technical drum sound straight out of hell with dark undertone melodies that would make the hair stand up at the back of your neck. Sinister forces no doubt put him in the crosshairs of Counterstrike, who couldn’t help to notice this rising dark star.  His menacing sound has also caught the ears of other ominous overlords such as June Miller, Limewax, Pythius, Cooh, Prolix and The Panacea amongst others.  

The EP starts off with Faint where a pounding drum workout responds to a screeching robotic stab. Next up is Redshift, a tearing reece and amen foundation sets the tone for a dark melodic synth line. Following is Spiral View. An infectious blood curdling sound sits on top of hard as nails two step drums. Lastly I Believe sees Synthakt collaborate with Counterstrike where an apocalyptic intro leads to a drop that will take heads clean off.

Hailing from Bucharest Romania, Freqax launched into the scene in 2010 with his release, The Axe on Algorythm Recordings. Since then nothing has been able to hold him back and he's seen the expansion of his vision on labels such as PRSPCT, Othercide, Forbidden Society and Yellow Stripe to name a few. Sinister Souls' long awaited second EP has landed on Algorythm. If it ain't Dutch it ain't much and it can't be more true coming from these two. A staple on PRSPCT and Therapy Sessions nights, they've stamped their unique sound on the scene by fusing together hardcore, drum and bass and dubstep. 

Their EP opens with Downfall. A huge buildup leads to epic neuro destruction with catchy distorted riffing on the switch. Next up is Interrupted. A low slung acid line rides over pounding drums and robotic bass growls. Lastly they collaborate with Counterstrike on Monsters. 80's Inspired synths lead to melodic reese bass that gets pummeled with distorted 808's and high energy drums.
