The Pillars of The Salafi Da'wah - Part 3

[25/07/2025] “Say, I Believe in Allāh and Then Remain Upright” - Shaykh Abu Zayd Khālid حفظه الله. Khuṭbah at Masjid Salafi, Small Heath, Birmingham, UK.

Some points discussed during this Khuṭbah:

	•	Sufyan bin ‘Abdillāh al-Thaqafī رضي الله عنه: The Prophet ﷺ said, “Say, ‘I believe in Allāh’ and then remain upright.” [Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim].
	•	The commentary of Imām Al-Sa’dī رحمه الله upon this narration.
	•	Belief in the branches of Imān.
	•	Actions of the heart.
	•	Knowledge precedes speech and action.
	•	The fruits of knowledge and correct intention.
	•	The fruits of knowledge and awareness of Tawḥīd.
	•	How knowledge leads to the actions of the heart.
	•	Al-Isti’ādhah, seeking refuge in Allāh from anything that may cause harm.
	•	Seeking refuge in Allāh after the prayers, throughout the day and night.
	•	The understanding of “then remain upright”.
	•	Al-‘Allāmah ‘Uthaymeen رحمه الله and his example of remaining upright.
	•	{Those who say, “Allāh is our Lord…”}
	•	The statement of the Angels, “Do not fear and do not worry…”
	•	The promise of Allāh and His Messenger ﷺ.

[01/08/2025] Part Two - Al-‘Allāmah Rabee’ Al-Madkhali on the Methodology of Giving Da’wah with Wisdom & Understanding.

- The necessity of implementing noble manners when calling to Allāh, and the result of doing so.
- A warning against causing people to flee from this da’wah.
- The accusations of those with destructive extremism. 
- The manner in which one should call to Allāh. 
- An affair that will make da’wah easier when calling the ignorant and Ahlul-Bid’ah. 
- Things the caller should refrain from at the beginning of his da’wah. 
- Examples of how to give da’wah to different groups from Ahlul-Bid’ah. 
- Shaykh Rabī’s visit to Sudan in 1392. 
- Points of advice given to the Shaykh (رحمه الله), which he accepted and implemented when giving da’wah to the people of Sudan. 
- Caution against beginning one’s da’wah with reviling the shaykh of the ignorant people. 
- The Messenger’s ﷺ instruction to Mu’ādh b. Jabal and Abū Mūsā al-Ash’arī (رضى الله عنهما) when he sent them to Yemen. 
- The necessity of the caller first practicing what he is calling the people to.
- ‘Abdullāh b. Salām’s (رضى الله عنه) thoughts after his first encounter with the Prophet ﷺ.
- The people’s joyful reception of Shaykh Rabī’s da’wah. 
- The conspiring of the heads of Sūfiyyah when they saw that the Shaykh’s da’wah was having an effect upon the people.
- Corrupt arguments by one of the heads of Sūfiyyah trying to justify the permissibility of istighāthah and other acts of worship to other than Allāh. 
- Shaykh Rabī’s address to the people after this man presented his falsehood. 
- The Sūfī’s reviling and swearing at the Shaykh (رحمه الله), and how he (Shaykh Rabī’) responded to him. 
- How the people viewed what took place between Shaykh Rabī’ and the Sūfī.
- The goal when giving da’wah. 

Questions:
1. What is your advice to an adult who looks around during the salāh?
2. How does one go about giving da’wah to those who blindly follow the madhhabs and other shaykhs, and is blind following permissible at any stage?
3. If a family member (uncle or auntie) holds beliefs like voting is kufr without restrictions and praying in masjids such as this one may invalidate their prayer, are they to be described as Ashābul-Bid’ah if the matters are clarified to them with precision and with the speech of the scholars?
4. What is the ruling of the one who is reading from the mushaf in the salāh and those who put their hands on one side covering their heart instead of placing it across the chest?
5. What is your advice to a young sister whose father would prefer for her to get married to someone in the family and she herself wants to get married to someone upon Salafiyyah? It is very difficult to reason with the father.
6. From my brothers is one who has stopped praying Fajr and he has started taking from the beard and has taken on western ideas such as the ‘law of attraction’. This morning other siblings followed him in missing the Fajr prayer despite me severely admonishing him in front of them with āyāt and hadīth. 
7. Question regarding the ruling of qaza’.

1. They adhere to the methodology of the prophets in da'wah
2. They call to adherence to the Book and the Sunnah connecting People to its evidences 
3. They follow the sunnah and adhering to the jamāʿah (in the correct sense) and they warn against splitting and differing
4. They enjoin the good and prohibiting the evil 
5. They refute the opposers to this way
