You can’t reach what clever and wise scholars figured out
Make your heaven here and now with wine and goblet
Since you might reach that place called heaven or not

Manim Azarabadeganim | منیم آذرآبادگانیم

The main melody of this song originates from ancient Iran. Zoroastrians have remained loyal to it, passing it down from generation to generation to the present day. They still use it in their prayers. The words you hear come from the Avesta, the Fourth Gatha, which is in the Avestan language:

"Yə vā Mazdā Ahurā pairi.jasāi vāŋhə mananghā"
O Ahura Mazda, with good thoughts I come toward you.
