4 ghosts ensemble on piano

a recording made some time ago on the phone while I was getting acquainted with the little hank drum I just bought. it's not the best as a base resolution, but I have processed the sound to make it as clean as possible ... in this track the whole sequence is intermittently and simultaneously played at multiple speeds. it is very relaxing .. in the past I had already touched upon certain atmospheres that this magical instrument can create, but in this case I have reached further depth. with this new way of treating the sound I am sure there will be other pleasant discoveries.

a very dark, long and deep soundscape... the sounds are taken by a sponge on a glass table in my home. listening the porcessed sound it i see (like a painted canvas on my mind) animals in a moonshine night, woman screams, rituals, sounding flutes, ancestors on the earth dancing and singing around the fire, i see the calling whales, the elephants, eyes in the night...  it's very interesting for me as new sound project. a quantic jump! still in progress. have a nice listening experience. thank you. god bless us.                                                                                                                version update on 06/03/2024

Originally published with the title: Final coda, this song was born during the study for the live performance of the song: Fermo immagine, in the summer of 2022. It is the fourth and last of the collection: Testimoni di quel che resta, which has been the origin of all the other songs.  (If we can say so) the songs following the first are, in some ways, "processing waste" from a single harmonic cell that was born on the guitar during the winter of 2019 .. The other leitmotif of the songs is based on reflections on the concepts of death and abandonment, given that (again in the same year) I had the opportunity to deal with these issues due to a family bereavement.
Finally I managed to update the song with new small solutions found up to now compared to the previous version, I had been trying for some time since I practice playing it almost every day.

Various authors with some real-time processing captured from Radio Aporee.
It is interesting to discover how inspiring the single nuances of concrete sounds can be, with rhythms, melodic/harmonic cells, textures and more.
This material certainly lends itself very well to further processing for the creation of something else.
Radio Aporee is an excellent source of inspiration.

Session found in the folder: audio exam, contains several files that I am (finally) examining from a backup disc scan.
There is a lot of interesting material in my opinion.
The first few minutes suggested the title of the track (the original file name was 10.04.23.112023_04_10 11_49_41 2).
I'm not sure if it's really material from 2023, and I haven't yet checked if I have a folder containing this session.
The only editing done so far has been mid panning of the tracks and a cut of equal length, as it was about 17 minutes long.
Listening to it, I can assume that I used AAS's Chromaphone software, probably triggered by Mooges software via MIDI.
Chromaphone is an excellent physical emulation tool, very interesting for creating timbres and samples.

Further refinements may be made in the future.

This track is part of a more complex project.
It is a concept inspired by the seasons.

VI. Autumn *read notes

Finally, more than a year after the initial idea, I can share this concept about the seasons with you.
It consists of several songs merged into a single track. The initial idea came about when I released the song Winter's Ending.
All the tracks are published individually here, with the exception of the interlude Maj (an improvised draft from 2022)
and the track Last Summer, which was completed recently.
Below is the timeline for the entire song.

Live recording with prepared (on the fly) percussion.. it's a south Italy percussive instrument called: tammorra, also knows as tamburello (but without jingles) ... The sounds were taken with a cheap contact microphone (eko guitars Fasi pickup) and the phone near the speakers ..
A nice and fun experience, is good to have new samples for Building textures, i'll have further investigation on It..
