Having only performed their first gig together in February 2011 in the sunny town of St Andrews - Alice and the Rampant Trio (ART3 to those in the know) have gone from strength to strength.

Since recording in October 2011, the band have been featured in Industry Magazine 'Music Week' as 'One of Scotland's Six Best Up-and-coming Unsigned Bands', they have been played on BBC Radio 1's BBC Introducing with Ally McCrae, and featured on Jim Gellatly's In:Demand Uncut and broadcast on Clyde 1, Forth One, Northsound 1, Radio Borders, Tay FM, West FM & West Sound FM.

ART3 are now working on making a name for themselves on the live scene in Glasgow, as well as producing music videos and artwork to accompany their tracks and getting back into the studio to record more of their original material.

ART3 have been described as 'like Fleetwood Mac, but darker' and as being similar to Marianne Faithful. The musical formation is of a 3-piece (guitar/bass/drums), but the main drivers of style are the use of the two lead vocal parts that play off one another, and the coupling of a Prog influenced drum and bass section with a folk/pop guitar lead. So whether you'd call it 'Acoustic-Rock', 'Pop-Rock-Folk', 'Alt-Folk' or 'Prog-Rock-Alt-Pop'...ART3 are just ART3, whatever it sounds like it is!
