With a voice to thaw the most glacial of hearts, Alice Auer’s roots sit deep in jazz and soul music – from the likes of Nat King Cole to Amber Navran. She first came to prominence collaborating with Conor Albert on 2021's ‘Smile’ EP, establishing herself as the heart and soul of a burgeoning London scene that includes contemporaries James Smith, Mathilda Mann and Maya Delilah.
Solo EPs ‘Daydreaming’ followed later that year and ‘Baby, Cry’ shortly after, earning Alice 18 million streams to date and plaudits from BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders, Sian Eleri, Mollie King), BBC Radio 2 (Jamie Cullum), CLASH Magazine, The Line Of Best Fit and The Most Radicalist.
Alice returns in Autumn 2024 with her brand new EP, ‘Sure’. Much like its predecessor, the project is reflective, intimate and deeply personal, centring on the good and bad of Alice’s experiences of love and relationships, as well as the trauma from a near-fatal car accident back in 2021. Musically, ‘Sure’ demonstrates Alice’s unwavering determination to develop beyond her jazz and R&B roots, incorporating elements of dream pop and folk to create a body of work that is both eclectic and ambitious yet faithful and cohesive. To this end, Alice has joined forces with a range of top writers and producers, including Gold Spectacles, Phairo and James Berkeley, as well as long-time friend and collaborator Seth Tackaberry. The end result is a testament to her artistic evolution, offering listeners a poignant and genre-blending experience that underscores her resilience and depth as a storyteller and musician.

‘Orbit’, the first single from ‘Sure’, is released 7th August 2024 on Young Poet.
