Fallen angel is a cinematic, orchestral, symphonic rocker totally redone in ASA's new style with their powerhouse lineup. This song is in celebration of ASA's 6th year in existence, and was originally on ASA's debut album FIRST LIGHT, released in 2008.

During the month of October, 2013, 50% of the sales proceeds will go to Cancervive KC.

Fallen Angel

Human Debris was recorded in a time of turbulence. It was found in August 2014 my Dad had cancer, so the original ASA quartet of Ali Kat, Billy Brown, Ron Bales and myself hurriedly recorded a few songs before my departure. During my absence, it was decided that ASA would open the doors for collaboration for the uncertain future, and Bales/Brown decided to pursue other projects. When I returned to Kansas City from CA, I found Natalya Wren and her fiancé Justin Cowart who subsequently collaborated on this song - Wren adding violin and background vocals, and Cowart adding Cello. Wren was later asked to permanently join ASA.
Despite this song's strange birth and the turbulent times within which recording happened, we think the song really picked up much of what was happening - and ASA turned tragedy into triumph. Hope you agree.

Alice Sweet Alice - SMILE

Scott and Ali's marriage and long relationship came to an end in late 2016, and it was decided that Alice Sweet Alice would discontinue it's almost 9 year run.

In September 2016, Ali and Scott traveled to Beijing China for a trip that had  been planned for almost a year.  Sucker is about Scott's experience in China during this tumultuous time.

Upon returning, Scott decided that he would continue Alice Sweet Alice, as he initially started it as a solo project in 2007 and very much still believes in what the band stands for and represents.  Sucker is a reintroduction of ASA  and goes back to ASA's roots as a solo project.

Scott employed the talents of Shadron Dennis and Chris Poje on Sucker, and so ASA begins anew.  Enjoy.

Daredevil was originally written for Alice Sweet Alice's 2016 album, "Viola Organista...and Other Impossible Dreams", but when the band derailed that year, the entire album was placed on the back burner until ASA rose like a phoenix in 2017.  This is the first single from the new and improved album with new cast members. Mother Geneva was originally released on Alice Sweet Alice's "First Light" album in 2008 and was a victim to very early ignorance in the Home Recording field. Alice Sweet Alice performed this song live from 2009 until 2010, but the song never translated well to the real world, despite our efforts. It was always something we wanted to redo, because it - like BLOOD ROSES from the same album - were truly two of the songs on that album which really had potential. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. Until now.

For those who want a little insight about the song, I wrote this as a sort of anthem for the cyberbullied to stand up and take back their agency from their bullies- bullying occurs in many forms, but with the advent of the internet a whole new form of bullying has taken shape.

I feel in some ways it's worse than 'standard' bullying- the ability to hide behind anonymity, make fake profiles to make antagonizing words louder, to utterly surround your victim with your hateful bile.. I wasn't about to pull punches. They're despicable, the worst kinds of monsters.

I wrote this song to stand out from the other songs I tend to hear directed towards those who are bullied- they've heard how it'll get better. How they should just tough it out or ignore it or turn the other cheek and 'be the bigger person' as if it'll make it all stop.
