Funk Yeah!

This set is for my dear friend Jacob <3

After learning his cancer was back, Jacob asked me to make him a little set of chill house music to listen to. I re-recorded it several times, but was never satisfied... But it took me too long, and so when I learned that Jacob was in the ICU and didn't have much more time, I rushed to re-record it and published it that same night. But Jacob never got to listen to it as he passed away that day. 

The set is not perfect but that's okay, because I tried to create something that would make him smile and travel the world, and that would express how much I appreciated and loved him. I hope he knows that.

Alice Youngling is a Swiss-born, Barcelona-based DJ making waves with her infectious energy and distinctive blend of groovy, techy, and soulful house. Since relocating to Barcelona in 2020, Alice has quickly become a driving force in the local scene, holding down a residency at Tunnel in the iconic Sala Bikini.

In 2024, she was selected as one of the ten finalists in Elrow’s Up&Coming Talent Program, cementing her status as one to watch in Europe’s electronic music scene. Her global lifestyle and deep love for house music fuel a sound that’s bold, rhythmic, and deeply connected to the dance floor.

Closing out 2025 on a high note, she unveiled her debut EP Rainbow Beat, released on the independent label NON MERCI MUSIC.
