Evidently a rather switched on guy from Bristol, Culprate’s been touring the world off the back of his dubstep infused music for some time now. Reportedly inspired by Caspa & Rusko’s FABRICLIVE mix, after crowd sourcing the money to make his debut album, Deliverance, Culprate’s also proved himself adept at making styles of music that isn’t really all that intended for dancefloors. He’s worked hard to open up his scope and his remit and that’s what makes him a rather interesting prospect. So ahead of his appearance in Room One this Friday (3rd April) we asked him to make us a mixtape that could perhaps reflect just a little piece of where his music tastes are at right now…

ZIONOV ND - Keep A Distance

Alien Seed are two brothers from north-east italy: jorghez (giorgio 29years old) and J-den (Lorenzo 27years old). Both have always had a real interest in music. Jorghez has played electric guitar for about 6 years creating covers of bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera. Afterthat he grew on drum'n'Bass starting from jump up to techstep and neurofunk. With some friends (evies, tony sunshine, nano insano and dgtlx) they set up the Bass gyver team, and began their tourneè with different italian djs and producers like hallucinator(BO), maztek (RO), aeph (RO-UK), dabs (RO)noxius(RO), and so on... J-den starts his drum'n'bass production with the grovebox yamaha rs 7000 and other pc softwares where he considered more the composition than the sound quality. He was aimed to create his own music and not to play other artists' tracks. The Alien seed project was born in January 2009 when the two brothers decided to join their musical skills taking inspiration from sonorita neurofunk and from a particular sound which tends to dark and horror, features that always intrigued them.
