The Spinning Plates imprint returns this October with Club Winston’s ‘Guzzle’ EP, comprised of four gritty club workouts from the London artist.

The UK’s Club Winston has been steadily unveiling a series of tripped-out club ready cuts via his own UKGEORGE label over the past few years along with remixes from the likes of D.Tiffany and Tim Reaper. Here though we see him join the roster of Spinning Plates with his latest collection of works, an imprint that’s played host to material from the likes of SHKN, Neksha, Andy Rantzen, DJ Spider and Bruno Schmidt since its inception in 2015.

The alarm clock buzzed loudly for the fifth time, as usual the snooze button had been exhausted for as long as she could get away with it. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, squinting in the morning light that bathed her room. A familiar feeling of dread washed over her; one that didn’t seem to hit her on any other day of the week. The start of the week was always like this - uneventful and unproductive, a time for wallowing and indulging… all in all, just another average Monday.

Helsinki imprint Echocentric and Leipzig’s R.A.N.D. are joining forces for their next release, a dose of rhythmic proggy goodness from Lithuania-based producer Pletnev. Both labels know their onions - between them they’ve put out plenty of dance floor gems over the last few years from the likes of Abdul Raeva, DJ Life, Reflex Blue and Gnork. With And You Never Come Back, it’s more of the same: over four tracks Pletnev serves up squelchy, hypnotic breaks and trance-inspired rhythms, all primed and ready to bless club sound systems the world over.

Operating at the intersection of deeper techno, electronica, house and electro, Ste Roberts intricate and beguiling sounds have been fascinating dancers for over two decades now.


A Rinse FM resident for over a decade, he first cut his teeth in the fertile grounds of Leeds in a period when it was experiencing somewhat of a clubbing renaissance. Working behind the counter in Tribe Records, his job allowed him upfront access to the cutting edge of house and techno and he soon made a name for himself as a selector. With a growing reputation as a “DJ’s DJ”, he made teamed up with Jamie Russell and Alex Jones to set up the influential Hypercolour and Glass Table imprints before making his first moves into the production world and releasing his acclaimed debut on the formidable Fear Of Flying imprint, before


Moving to London in 2015, he continued his explorations in the electronic underground, quickly gaining a foothold for himself in the capital. His deep, hypnotic, rhythmic sound won him fans far and wide, with gigs ranging from fabric to Studio 338, The Lion & The Lamb and Dimensions Festival in the years that followed. He set up his own labels  STE and STEDIT labels to give himself no-compromise homes for his production output, gaining the support of many an influential DJ in the process, along with his releases on 20:20 Vision, Holding Hands and Hypercolour. 

“I don't generally have any set start point when it comes to making music” he says. “Whether I’m making an electro track or more of a techno roller, that just kinda develops as I'm tinkering around with hardware. The reality is, I've been music collector for over 20 years now with endless amounts of inspirations throughout the electronic music and dance scene, and without trying to replicate this experience I've had it just comes to me naturally. In my DJ sets I always prefer to take you on a journey, with ups and downs, twists and turns but ultimately educating and exciting my listeners with old and new records. I still play records I picked up when I started out 20 years ago—which even then were already a decade old—along with up and coming cuts, and current rare picks.”


The future looks very busy for Ste as he enters a new purple patch in his career, with releases coming on One Eye Witness, Kassian’s burgeoning Faux Poly label, more on STE & STEDIT and a collaboration with Adam Curtain on their new Adam & Steve imprint. What’s more, he’s launched another new label, Private Parts, to further extrapolate his sounds and to support other like-minded artists, with label showcases in the works at some of the world’s finer nightspots.

PREMIERE: Ste Roberts - Eliza

An EP of limbo-inducing squelch courtesy of our good friends Latrec aka Andy Bainbridge and Serious Hots, ft. techno flavoured remixes from Bristolian pal Remotif & our very own Matt Cowell & Johnny Aux as The W.C. Enjoy. 

In the furthest reaches of the cosmos, the intergalactic community gathers for the annual Kutika Limbo finals. 

Reigning champion Latrec draws the first straw and the percussion rolls excitedly as he steps up to the pole. Kutika glides lithely under the bar, tentacles wobbling to the acid rhythm. He celebrates his victory as the crowd chants in a glitchy alien dialect. “Kutika-tika-tika-tika!” 

Second in line, Latrec’s younger brother Dub Mix steps up for his first limbo. Shorter and stockier than his brother, we don’t know what to expect from this one. Once again the percussion rolls, the crowd gasps as his squidgy exoskeleton melts before their eyes, reforming on the other side of the bar - ‘blooooop’. The crowd goes wild “Kut-Kut!” 

Next up is The W.C. Events take a strange turn as they forgo the competition, instead they walk to the stage to sweep the band aside, hijacking control of the instruments. Heavy percussive hits twist spacetime with material melting bass throbs. The crowd goes wild as the fabric of reality collapses around them.  

Last but by no means least is Remotif, a techno unit resembling a giant cluster of biceps stands staring at the limbo pole, chaos erupting around him. The tempo of the percussion rises in anticipation and acid thunder roars in the background. Remotif picks up the bar, blinks, and hurls it off into the furthest reaches of the galaxy never to be seen again.

Nathan Micay is pleased to present the next re-issue on Eternal Schvitz: Aaron Palmquist - Cohesion EP. As a mainstay of the Canadian underground rave scene during the 90’s, Aaron (aka Chameleon) performed live at legendary Toronto parties such as Exodus, Chemistry and Pleasure Force. Using an assortment of gear including two TB303’s, a TR909 and 808 drum machine, he was able to road test a number of originals, eventually leading to an EP in 1997 on Solo Recoridings. Restored from the original DAT tapes and now available for everyone. As always, Schvitz gives back. To fight the evil no-ID-DJ forces currently at work, every Eternal Schvitz release will be providing 60% of the cut to the artists and ensuring their credits are front and centre. The remaining 40% of profits will go to aequa, a Berlin-based collective with a focus on empowerment of women, trans and non- binary folks through gatherings for interpersonal exchange. Bolam’s ‘Suspended Animation’ EP is the first release from Space Dust – a new reality within the Alien Communications universe. On a record that’s as well-rounded as it is diverse, ‘Florion Heights’ launches the EP into the stratosphere and beyond, with high-energy drums and rich, optimistic synths leading into a euphoric crescendo, all locked together with a fat, bobbing bassline. ‘Comfort Zone’ is the perfect proceeder as you enter inter-stellar space, floating in its lavish, airy pads, deep bass and snappy broken beats… with crystal tones layered harmoniously together resulting in a track filled with positivity and charm. Wrapping up the record is ‘The Mothership’ – a near 10-minute voyage, abducting the listener with a hypnotising rhythm and bassline that carries the cinematic atmospherics and progression into a weird and wonderful finale.
