Alienfolk is a bunch of old hippies in a cellar with lots of gear. The music we do is 100% improvised, tackling different genres of music in our own particular way. Set 1 is from our first 2 jams as a band and a simple straight to stereo recording with no overdubs. Most of its not easy listening, but also not so far out on the edge that people struggle to relate to it. 

We pride ourselves on the edgy nature of what we do and the fact we do it solely for our own amusement. We hope this relaxed fun approach is reflected in our music, along with the musical chemistry we enjoy. We are a standard 4 piece, drums (Dan), guitar, bass (Ian and Chris) and keyboards (Andy). The core of the band came together to pay with Damo Suzuki (as a part of his network) at the Trades Club, Hebden Bridge (July 2010) and things have just gone on from there.

We intend to do some gigs and include some guest musos to do some twiddly bits on top. (Improvised gigs are great for the old adrenalin)

We set up this profile as a result of the positive comments from friends, so we decided to share our music with the sound cloud community. A great site to be able to share what you do (thanks for the intro Rob).
