I've finally gotten around to record a second instalment of my 80s Rewind series. The first can be found here -

That particular mix got a great reception, and i was asked a number of times to do another one, so here it is.

Unlike the last one, i've deliberately gone for a "lesser known" set of 80s tracks here, or again, songs that are brand new but sound 80s.

Hopefully you'll remember some of them and they'll make you smile when you hear them :)

This is the sound effect that sound designer Ben Burtt created to represent the acoustical beacon that the crew of the Nostromo intercept, leading them to investigate the derelict spaceship in "Alien". The sound was unused in the film, although it appeared years later on laserdisc in deleted scenes.

This is a part-finished version of the Ocean Loader by the wonderful Martin Galway. It was intended to be a 'demo' track for eJay eQuality - the Pro Level sequencer from eJay that was in development for many months, but never saw the light of day due to Empire Interactive going into liquidation. So, here it is... my unfinished upmix -  not quite done and baked, but possibly worth a listen? Martin kindly agreed to allow me to upmix this and use it as a demo song, in (if I recall correctly) return for a pie and a pint(!) ;O)
