Dredging fourth sounds of the subconscious, deep atmospheric tones plucked from synaptical caverns, paired with crisp, undulating and dynamic beats - echoes of the abyss.

“Process Interactive” by DEVICEFUL (aka DB) is based around a keen fascination with how much information comes into our minds and spirit; and how that process results in music. Memories, emotion, relationships, love, synths, voices, samples, percussion, and FX all sort of meld, pushed forward by the inspiration of other artist’s creations. So much being processed, and flowing back out as music/song creations that evolve into a bit of something to be heard, and hopefully enjoyed. While writing and producing these four tracks, Don Brown, the producer felt blessed to have so many amazing pallets of color to work from and so many incredible artists to be inspired by. One of his all-time favorites is Illusive Tuna. Their work has been and continues to be, very inspirational for him, and when they agreed to remix Creole Cave of Wonders for this EP, it put just the perfect point on it.

Delivered earlier this year, the prolific album "My Heart Is Love" from east coast duo Aligning Minds was one of the most downloaded releases of 2013 for Gravitas Recordings. Inspired by their successes and many travels since, Mike Folk and Dan Merrill have put together the new collaborative "My Heart Is Remixed" project. In addition to winners of the official remix contest, the album features many talented and prominent producers who share their re-imagined visions of the original nine songs. The diversity throughout runs strong, as so many unique styles from across the globe swirl together to create an entity simultaneous familiar yet distinct. Habitual genre restraints were shed here long ago, with thoughtful offerings ranging from deep and delicate downtempo all the way to bold and audacious dubstep. Even with such a colorful cast, each remix shares the unifying factors of atmosphere, harmony and ethereal bass presence, giving rise to the cohesive expedition that lies before each listener.

A substantial portion of the revenue from this album will be donated to Critical Beats, a non-profit whose mission is rainforest conservation and sustainable education. No strangers to charity projects, Gravitas and Aligning Minds have linked electronic music together with an important cause, with the help of the remixers such as KiloWatts, Androcell, Psymbionic, Push/Pull, Krusseldorf and many more. Apart from these endeavors, the album remains available as a free download with the hope that as many people as possible will connect with its encompassing sonic message.

“The Pale Horse” is the 4th and final installment in Bluetech's The 4 Horsemen of the Electrocalypse series. Ranging from dark detroit influenced electro and braindance to IDM and melodic techno explorations, this EP puts an endcap on the analog and modular based releases with the classic sounds of a 303 providing lead duties.

These 4 EPs reference the Biblical bringers of the Apocalypse. Drawing inspiration from the classic fantasy art of Moebius, Beksinki and Syd Mead, “The Pale Horse” dances around eschatological tropes with tongue firmly placed in cheek. Featuring gorgeous artwork from concept designer Justin Totemical, each release in the series will present a facet of the visionary prophetic current. 

“Emerging from a long period of creative drought and personal struggle, I was seeking a way to frame my own experience in a larger meta-narrative. Navigating through loss and painful transformation always feels apocalyptic, so I wanted to take the opportunity to not only frame my heartbreak in a larger context but also to really laugh at myself and experience the high drama of being human with a sense of humor. The Revelations of our little lives feel like the end of everything, and looking out of our windows of meat and bone we feel the ground rumble with the approach of the 4 Horsemen. 

On a larger scale, it’s easy to draw parallels between the realities of modern life and the harbingers of ‘the end’ in John’s symbolic vision of the end of the Roman Empire. We are in the grasp of a dying empire watching the destruction of our biosphere, and yet… every seed must go to ground before new life emerges. 

This series of releases is about watching it all burn with a smile, embracing the death of the self as an act of beauty in order to grow. By aligning my own story and our collective story with a prophetic vision of epic proportions, I was able to to regain my joy and (en)lighten my life.”

Binaural beats are a way of synchronizing your brain waves (which are measured in hertz) with the hertz of the binaural beat. The brain has a frequency following response which causes this to occur. These can help induce states of relaxation, meditation and help to relieve anxiety and stressed out states. This works best with headphones because binaural beats are panned hard left and right which forces the brain to synchronize the two tones.

Theta - 8hz-4hz - a very meditative state or getting drowsy and drifting off, if your sleepy)

Delta - 4hz and below - deep sleep or a very deep meditative state. Buddhist Monk's brainwaves have been measured in this state during meditation.
