Started with the lyrics by AKON that I got from a buddy years back when it came out in 2008.  I started to morph the song, one track at a time. First I found the key of the song, wrote the chords of the main melody in triads: Bb min • Ab maj • G min • Fmin. Loaded the vocals into a sampler and played them on my keyboard. Once I added the drums, the track was pretty much complete....EXCEPT for the drop. Which we all know is the most important and sometimes the most difficult part of any song/remix. 
After the main structure was complete, I sat down with my good buddy Free Reign. With his critiquing and emotional support [LOL] this remix was able to reach your ears.
