Have you missed us? We certainly missed creating for you! To show you just how much, we are back with a two-in-one first release that will set your wining mode straight to Soca. 

It is one pulse, two songs, and three honeyed voices artfully blended under the Precision Productions banner, to give you our loyal listeners an “Unforgettable” sound, which will have you rhythmically saying “Cheers To Life” all season long.

Nothing compares to or is more treasured by revellers than making joyful Carnival memories with those we care deeply for. This is a truth that Kerwin Du Bois alongside Patrice Roberts know all too well, and passionately express with true finesse on their track. Kerwin also co-writes this one with Aaron “Voice” St. Louis of Full Blown Entertainment, and working together they colourfully describe the poignant emotions these annual celebrations evoke as well as the unbreakable bonds they build.

These are transcendent pleasures, which are often taken for granted in today’s world. But for Voice, the blessing of being able to sing and write his own Soca song fills him with a sense of gratitude and deep-seated joy. Feelings he conveys clearly in every lyric and tone. His uplifting tune is pure melodic encouragement and an optimistic sign of things to come from this artist.

Precision Productions, is a young in age but old in knowledge music production team based in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, which has collectively amassed just about 20 years in studio time and work experience. Synth commander Com Truise readies his latest mini full-length, 'Persuasion System' to drop on May 17 via Ghostly International.

Ahead of the release, Com Truise has handed over the LP cut 'Ultrafiche of You' to Mixmag for a premiere. The contemplative, chrome-plated track uses soft synths and waving percussion to convey an overarching feeling of loss that is intertwined with a sense of acceptance. "It's a love song, and I don't write many of those," the artist explains.

Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint continues a strong start to the year by showcasing the first installment of it’s ‘Re:Imagined’ series. These Various Artists EP showcases will take a look back over the label’s catalog, presenting new interpretations from some of the freshest talent in the underground. In what promises to be a highlight in the Belgian imprints release schedule, the first installment finds Nopi, Hot TuneiK, Retza and Gimerique re-interpreting tracks from Paula OS, Paul Angelo & Don Argento, Paul Deep and Lerr respectively.

Next up and making his Sound Avenue debut is Retza. The Melbourne resident has etched his place in Australia's electronic underground with appearances at the country’s largest events, namely Rainbow Serpent Festival and Let Them Eat Cake. Nearly a decade’s worth of production credits has seen Retza showcase his music on several esteemed imprints, such as All Day I Dream, Balance Music, Kindisch and Magician On Duty. Now making a welcome debut on Sound Avenue, Retza re-imagines Paul Deep’s ‘Shakti’ with resounding success. Aptly titled ‘Primordial Cosmic Energy Mix’, the Aussie artist goes deep and driving for what results in a powerful late-night jam. Glacial lines, ethereal vocal fragments and dubbed out tones unite for a vortex of sound and colour. Acid sprinkles add a nostalgic flair, while a buzzing break should command the full attention of your dance floor.

Abstrakt Sonance x Substance - Smoking Blunts (Pushloop Remix)

This is the first of a four mix series, the titles and genres are based on the first four lines of the William Blake poem, The Tyger. In the poem, Blake questions what sort of entity could create such a magnificent creature, while the tiger traverses the forest, under cover of night. 
Like the first line of the poem, this mix is called 'Burning Bright', which I thought was fitting since I've been wanting to do a Burning Man inspired mix. Bonus points to anyone that can spot the words borrowed from Lauren Hill...I've give you a hint, it isn't the quote at the very beginning. I added that quick statement from Ray Manzarek of the Doors because he just simply nails it while talking about genre. Please follow if you like the beats, many thanks!
