For their fourth outing on Sasha’s Last Night on Earth imprint, Hunter/Game craft a sublime free-fall excursion into the heady realms of melodic techno, electronica and ambient, with exciting Milano talent Pisetzky drafted to collaborate on EP cut ‘Dystopia’.

The outstanding three-tracker leads with ‘Utopia’, a hypnotizing, multi-layered gem that lives up to its heavenly title with a persistent groove that works its way towards an exciting horn-laden climax. 

If ‘Utopia’ is propelled by a blissful euphoria, then ‘Dystopia’ is a darker more haunting journey melodic trip produced in collaboration with Pisetzky – a member of the duo’s Just This collective and shortly due to release his debut EP on their label of the same name. Driven by intergalactic synth swirls that build towards a menacing crescendo, its otherworldly energy makes it the perfect accompaniment to the original. 

Rounding out the EP is the beautiful ambient offering ‘Paradigm’, reinforcing the breadth of Hunter/Game’s sonic palette.

With Pan-Pot’s eagerly anticipated album, 'The Other’ on the horizon, it's only fitting that we begin early with a glimpse of what’s to come. 

'The Other One' is the first of two EPs from the duo's upcoming long player and with the two carefully selected tracks; 'Pina' and '808 Nirvana', it's exactly what you come to expect from the duo. 

'808 Nirvana' is a white knuckle ride laced with fast paced stabs, shakers and snares while meteoric rises carry you into deep space. 'Pina', aptly titled after the newborn addition to the family, is a bundle of energy. It constantly grows larger and more complex before finally unleashing a fierce, sonic blast that wouldn’t seem out of place on the soundtrack to a Hitchcock film. In perfect Pan-Pot fashion. 

'The Other One' is the perfect teaser ahead of the full album release, with both tracks the epitome of the Pan-Pot sound.

Long-term brother of the label Matthias Tanzmann makes his full debut on Saved Records. And it is well and truly worth the wait. The German stalwart delivers a hedonistic two track EP that places distinctive bassline-led grooves at the centre of a sound that is bristling with personality, energy and adventure.
Despite the flat, thudding kick drum that announces the track, “No Sleep” immediately sets out its stall as a visceral tech groover with funky, tribal drums. By the time the simple yet deliriously fun bassline joins the party, the track is a completely derailed and unhinged slice of party atmospheres. Rapid-fire drum machines skitter across the top to fuel a dancefloor stamina that drives momentum forward.

“Sleazy Rider” is a deeper, weightier workout with ghetto bass as its backbone. Around the grumbling bass you have shuffling percussion, chopped up vocal FX and some wildly tumbling basslines that inject a sense of swing into proceedings. The power of the bottom end sweeps you up and pulls you along for the ride. Clearly in full on party mode, Tanzmann has once again become the facilitator of no sleep.
