“Mother” by @niladevimama is dedicated to the Divine Mother in all things. Together with the sound of @marc-jb and William Llerena Murayari and their powerful presence throughout the album, from the first to the last song “Mother” speaks of the devotional nature of this album and of Nila’s artistry, which is inspired by her innate connection to her Gujarati Indian lineage as well as her connection to the Plant Kingdom. 

The sentiment across the songs is essentially about “becoming one with the Divine and experiencing the Divine in all things”, be it living or in the ether.

It opens with a powerful mantra which calls on the Divine Feminine energy of MahaLakshmi. Following this line, "Celestial Pearl" explores the romantic dance with the Divine and the telepathic connection between two souls vibrating in the same frequency and fragrance. It also references being reborn, to the Mother - or in Nila’s case, as the Mother - as a direct reflection or response to fully realizing Great Mother’s presence within. 

“Hablando a mi Corazon” (Talking to my heart) sings to the elements and the power of Pachamama (Mother Nature). The sensory experience of feeling the wind caressing the skin; the smell of the Bobinsana flowers; seeing spirits emerge from the majestic waters; are all symbolic of feeling the holy presence of the Divine, then merging into one with it all. 

As a teacher and spiritual guide on the plant medicine path, the plants play a constant and consistent role in Nila’s life and this is echoed in her music. Some of the songs were originally birthed in the jungle through communing with plant intelligence whilst in ceremony.

 You are invited to listen to this album from start to finish, as a healing journey, which concludes with a blissful meditation “Cielo Azul” (Blue Sky).

The intention of this offering is to bring peace and relaxation to the heart, and to call us into awareness of the importance of Divine Love, especially in these times. Divine Love is the Mother. The Mother is all loving, all forgiving, all encompassing. Let us live in reverence of the Feminine Force and the world will truly be restored to harmony and balance.
