'The Wizard' Mika Olson returns to the label for our 150th release and his latest hit single 'What I Need' Featuring the awesome vocals of Dutch Singer/Songwriter/Artist 'Jermaine Fleur'.

Together, they've created a timeless piece of art that crosses boundaries, bends genres and breaks the rules. Deep, passionate, heartfelt, sophisticated and made with lots of love and a whole lot of technical and studio knowledge. 

Mika re-writes the infamous riff from Toto's 'Africa' and owns it like a boss. His attention to detail and engineering qualities are second to none. He surgically adds sounds, instruments and layers to highlight special moments, provoke emotions and stimulate feelings.

On remix duties, we're really excited to welcome Soul Minority and Robot Needs Oil to the label's artist family as well as the return of our veteran tribe member Stan Kolev.

Déepalma Records digs into its own vaults this September, bringing back a true deep house gem: Mika Olson’s ‘What I Need’ ft. Jermaine Fleur, re-released on September 5th, 2025 as an exclusive addition to the label’s rich catalog.

Originally landing in 2016, What I Need embodies the atmospheric depth and hypnotic pull that defined Déepalma’s early sound. With Jermaine Fleur’s inimitable vocal weaving through fat, rolling basslines and layers of immersive production, the track captures an irresistible balance between underground energy and emotional resonance. Nearly a decade later, its timelessness feels sharper than ever — a standout in its own flair and atmosphere, primed once again for late-night sets and deep listening sessions.

For Olson, this marks another highlight in a long-standing journey with Déepalma. A key artist within the family, he’s delivered countless originals and remixes over the years, from Tomorrow and Drift Away to his celebrated rework of Rosario Galati & Yves Murasca’s Carry On. Most recently, he dropped Absolut, an Afro House gem that cemented his versatility. German-born, Olson spent the last decade shaping his sound while based in Saigon and now resides in Spain, continuing to refine his blend of deep, melodic, and organic textures.

Germany's Chasing Kurt making their debut on Milk & Sugar Recordings with a Momo Khani and Meindel remake of their deep house cut 'Let It Run'.

Chasing Kurt's career began truly exciting. Their first song ‘Money’ was discovered by Maya Jane Coles for her DJ Kicks mix on !K7 Records and helped establish the act as one of the foremost deep house groups in the scene. Their talents soon caught the attention of influential German imprint Suol, which released their first album ‘From The Inside’ short after. Mighty Defected then picked up the album’s title track and made it a famous hit around the world. The album marked a milestone in Chasing Kurt’s career and collected widespread praise from across the board, including a feature in BBC Radio1’s ‘Future Stars’ by Pete Tong. 

Now Chasing Kurt are making their debut on Milk & Sugar Recordings with a remake of their original offering 'Let It Run', coming from Marbella based top producer Momo Khani and Spanish House icon and Ocean club resident Meindel who have already delivered a splendid remix of the label’s catalogue classic and legendary Ibiza anthem ’I Need Your Lovin’ from Casanoy previously.

‘Chasing Kurt - Let It Run (Momo Khani & Meindel Remake’ drops via Milk & Sugar Recordings on 10th May 2019.
