On May 26, 2021, the full moon will sweep through the Earth’s dark umbral shadow, creating a total eclipse of the moon. This May full moon is 2021’s closest (and therefore biggest and brightest) full moon of the year: a supermoon. This particular eclipse is special because the totality, or total phase, is so short-lived, lasting less than 15 minutes.
The last total eclipse of a year’s closest full moon happened on September 28, 2015.

No áudio você ouvirá uma reconstrução relativamente rigorosa realizada por uma equipe de estudiosos da música sacra antiga, liderada por Barnaby Brown. A voz e a lira pertencem a Stef Conner, sem dúvida um intérprete adequado para a tarefa. Canção  e louvores aos deuses estelares da Mesopotâmia, esses mesmos deuses que se movem pelo céu com seus corpos luminosos e que aparecem representados graficamente em nossos mapas astrológicos. Os primeiros astrólogos da história ouviram essas canções celestiais nos templos da religião astral da Babilônia.



This is one of the original tunes from ancient Babylon, the land where astrology was born. In the audio you will hear a relatively rigorous reconstruction carried out by a team of scholars of ancient sacred music, led by Barnaby Brown. The voice and lyre belong to Stef Conner, undoubtedly a suitable interpreter for the task.
