Four Trees by Alison Choi

This song, Silhouette, comes from a desire I’ve had for a long time, to share my healing journey from an unhealthy and abusive past relationship. Until writing this song, I didn’t know how to be open about such an experience. It felt unspeakable, even though I was far from alone in experiencing the traumas and fear that I held in my body. This song is my way of unravelling that feeling that I should hide, and instead, lead myself with the hope that I can touch other people with similar experiences, and show them that they are not alone. 

Sharing this song with all of you, I am saying goodbye to that dark and heavy past, and opening a portal for growth, light and healing. I am sonically capturing my strength, my self worth, and my resilience. To anyone who resonates with this song, I see you. I believe in you, and I hope this song encourages you to put yourself first.

I am excited to share more music in the future, in the hopes that my vulnerability can lift you up, my voice can keep you company, and we can all benefit from being a little open with each other :)
