Georgia On My Mind - Ali Sparey

I wrote this song when I first arrived in Spain in 2017. It was the end of a very hot summer and there had been no rain for months, everyone's Wells were dried up and the land was dusty and cracked.
I remember being sat in a hammock in the shade and Tom Shackleton started to play his guitar, the sound he was creating reminded me of rain and really hooked me. I wrote the lyrics and melody and 'Just One Drop' was created. 
One hour later it started to rain for the first time in months!!
This song is close to my heart.

Tom Shackleton on Vocals and Guitar.

Session Vocalist for various recording projects, such as ‘Hospital Records’ and various TV/Film/Musical companies.

I used to manage and sing lead in ‘Alice & the Wild Tones’ - 7piece Blues/Country/Soul Band, as well as a 6 piece Soul/Funk/Jazz band called ‘Alice & the Honeycoolers’.
I have done recording work with ‘Stray Ripples’ - 4piece band Folk/Soul Band 
x2 Electric/Acoustic Guitar/LoopSystem/AfricanDrums.

Singing came very naturally to me.
I started as a Classical Soprano...then I heard about this Jazz n' Soul stuff going around... ;)
1st place in a school talent show at the age of 9 and I realised I am a performer and I loved singing. I went on to do 4 years vocal training (dance/acting)and I haven't looked back. 
I'm a big fan of busking! Always up for a jam on the streets of Bristol, Granada, Bath, Malaga. I love traveling and have a camper, a base in Bristol and a base in the campo near Velez Malaga, making olive oil and wine, where I write a lot of my music.
