Strait Up Down Home Girl

Hailing from a tiny town in Indiana, Alissa made Nashville her home in 2002. Since the journey began, Alissa has made it her mission to stay true to her musical voice. One of the first albums she remembers wearing out was a Tom Petty greatest hits. Around the age of 10 she found and fell in love with her dad's collection of classic rock. It wasn't until the Dixie Chicks hit the scene that Alissa discovered her country voice. At 15, she got her first guitar and just like that , her musical worlds collided. It was at that point that Alissa knew she was suppose to be in Nashville. The day after her high school graduation , she was in Tennessee and hasn't looked back since.
   Although it wasn't in the plan, Alissa found opportunity in singing with groups. Landing a publishing deal @ 22 she formed relationships with writers and publishers that have remained through the years. Even though they didn't make it ,the time spent working with the different bands was all well spent. 
   The ending of her girl group journey was also the start of a long awaited chance for Alissa to take on a solo career.  Her songs range from whiskey drinkin' in the twangy mid tempo "The New You' to a fresh & free spirited ditty about takin' it easy in "Happy Camper"'. Alissa is an all  American girl who just wants to be heard. Great music will find its way and it's just a matter of time until Alissa gets her turn.
