This was recorded at Mason Bay, Rakiura/Stewart Island on the path from the Hill Homestead to the beach. i was playing koauau to a tui when 6 or so bellbirds turned up and started singing.

Beach side recording on West End Beach, Ulva Island in Paterson Inlet, Stewart Island. Ulva Island is a bird sanctuary. Its been predator free for 10 years, but unfortunately rats have recently been found there. 

The photo is of some Neptunes Necklace seaweed pods on West End Beach. The pods can be used as karanga manu bird callers.
