Flip over and Calyx & TeeBee offer up a track that bears their signature hallmarks infused with a fresh feel. ‘Hurting’ is packed with the kinds of twists, turns and downright gut-wrenching basslines you’ve come to expect from this duo. We are delighted to announce our second new signing of 2013… Chords. A man who’s rise through the ranks of drum & bass has been astonishing. Not surprising; producers who shine with such crisp musicality and production power on their earliest releases always get spotted quickly. And after his previous smashers, the next chapters in his exciting career will be written with Ram. In the words of Andy C..

The mind blowing starts with a deep hypnosis session. Deep, warm and relentlessly pumping, ‘Biting Point’ is one long piano pounding shock out. Rolling and rush-soaked with a timeless progressive sound palette, this one’s an elevator – enveloping your floor into a trancelike state, ready for the next level.

Our minds continue to blow as we hit ‘Amygdala’. Literally: It takes its title from a crucial part of your brain that powers memory and emotional senses. Opening with a deep wash of synths and faraway thunder drama drums, we’re soon whisked off on a distorted bass roller coaster, dipping and rising on a hooky, infectious riff. Memories of the opening, inward-looking synth intro are soon triggered as we hit the breakdown. The only emotions your amygdala will be triggering right now are happiness and love.
Confident yet understated, these are two purring pieces of full-bodied contemporary D&B. Consistent in their quality but triggering different sonic senses and dancefloor motions, this marks a very exciting new chapter for both Chords and all of us at Ram.

For the next G13 release we have a rave smashing EP of epic proportions from DJ Alpha. Known to Propz and Rowney for many years, Alpha has progressed leaps and bounds in the last couple of years and his debut on G13 is definitely to be taken seriously!
This 5 track EP was created for the dancefloor, no half measures or laid back rollers on this one, Alpha brings his trademark jump up sound to the ravers in a way only he can do!

The title track 'Frozen Black' is a bouncy number which has mashed up dancefloors all over the world for a hot minute and it is eagerly awaited by many!
'Alert' and 'Musics so wonderful' are typical energetic party tunes with Alpha's infectious melodies and old skool rave samples, '500 gallons' is a naughty little head nodder which never fails to light up the dance.
Perhaps the moodiest track on the EP is '2rar', which has an old skool sounding intro that launches into a deep bassline and a skippy beat. All in all, an EP for the head strong Drum & Bass massive!
