I wanted the recording to have as much of the "live" feel as possible. I used a slight panned echo of the primary vocal, along with spatial elements to try to give the track a vintage jazz club performance feel ( think Ella-like :) ). I ran into some significant challenges with over compression toward the end of the song where the dynamic range increases dramatically.
