Sunrise Serenade aims to capture the more or less slow transition between the unconscious and the conscious that we all go through when we wake up. It’s a dissection of the morning psyche, a musical travel and an esoteric hug. 

Some diverse tunes will be played alongside chit-chat about
morning rituals and a live tarot reading. Every guest will come
with a selection of their favorite morning music, ideal ways
to wake up, insights about their dreams from the night before,
and any other thoughtful items and conversation. The host will also bring a selection of music, their tarot deck, and breakfast. We wish you a good morning.

alizé.e is a multidisciplinary creative, based in Berlin. They employ graphics to visually archive, objects to explore intimacy, installations to deconstruct and reconstruct, curation as a promise to act, and music as an integral part of immersive experiences. Whether creating actively as a form of meditation or driven by mundane nostalgia, the resulting outcomes typically manifest as installations or collections, always stemming from collaborative efforts. The work of Monica Bonvicini and Bogomir Doringer is influencing their design and installation practice greatly. alizé.e recently exhibited their work during Dutch Design Week (Eindhoven, 2023) and at the Kunsthalle (Berlin, 2022).

In their music journey, they are inspired by DJs and producers like CCL and Objekt. They are part of Crush DJ Kollektive, organising monthly DJ sessions for FLINTA* people in Berlin. Driven by shared experiences and queerness, alizé.e curates spaces for interventions, viewing their art as activism, an exploration of identity, and a tool for community engagement.

For this first episode of Holding hands we are hearing the voice of Salma.
Salma aka FunkyKid (she/her) is Tunisian and Berlin-based producer/DJ. Her music flows between fluffy hard trance, fast techno, hardgroove and hypnotic rhythms. She is a resident at Voices Radio (UK) and part of Eclat Crew Collective in Berlin. She also co-founded Rush Berlin, a video project showcasing underrepresented DJs in Berlin and beyond.

Due to technical issues during the recording, my mic was off all along the interview. To still enjoy Salma's answers with a bit of context I created a little voice over in post editing.

Project Kamp is a community based in Portugal that experiments with creating alternative and sustainable ways of living. I was very impressed by their organisation and especially the focus and structure that they are building on community care.

Future Number Five is a production house that will make all your dreams come true. Think opera, concert, tv shows, exhibitions and lately the 2nd edition of Melted film festival organised and curated in collaboration with Geo Frames and Lab 1 Eindhoven for Dutch Design Week.
Future Number Five is at it's core the duo Klara Branting Paulsell and Marem Akbaba. Together they have been working for years and are always involved in these ambitious team projects. I'm asking them how is it to work as a team even though they are currently not living in the same country, working across different collectives, and making sure to gather everyone in the same room. 

Forgive my uncontrollable giggles during this episode, I was a bit over excited to finally have them both in the same room.

In this chaotic world we can be sure of one thing: we have each other. Each month, meet a creative soul whose practice centers on hope, community, collaboration, and care as we share gentle conversations and a few tunes.

Ina Vietha (she/her) is a designer by day, DJ by night and on the side a gym rat and personal trainer. She has a big passion for creating communities and spaces with other people as well as having big passion for music and fitness. She’s one of the co-founder of Queer Community Club @qcc_club, an Oslo-based queer creative collective, as well as being part of Crush Kollektiv @crush.kollektiv. Earlier this year she also created Queer Fit Berlin @queerfit.berlin, an initiative for queer/lgbtqia+ people to meet up and be active together.

This week wake up with Abusing Machines, who is also one third of +++, a collective dedicated to experimental music. Abusing Machines is a producer that took his inspiration from rave culture, he knows early mornings after no sleep but today he will bring us something different. On my side I wanted to celebrate the autumn equinox with a little tarot reading and some of my favourite seasonal tunes. Expect some post-punk, melancholic ambient and a lovely talk about knowing how to congratulates yourself and acknowledge your evolution and progress in life.

Listen to the November episode of Holding Hands with Jivi! Chatting about how to work together as creative, feeling held, music and activism, seeing beyond borders and holding each other. 

Jivi (he/him), also known as jivi2mebaby, is a DJ from Mumbai now based in Berlin. Starting with a love for Bollywood music, his sound blends South Asian influences, Latin Bass, Breakbeat, and high-energy rhythms, often featuring playful pop edits. Inspired by Berlin’s music scene, Jivi’s style prioritizes fun and lightheartedness—think smiling faces and silly dancing over techno seriousness.  

Jivi is part of the Daytimers collective, organizes BIPOC-focused events, and hosts Namaslay on Refuge Worldwide Radio, showcasing South Asian creativity. Beyond music, he explores acting and other artistic ventures, sharing joy and connection through his work.

Community Builder | Activist | Drag Artist | Changemaker

Stella is a community builder, trans and queer activist, and drag artist working at the intersections of nightlife, accessibility, and liberation. She founded Queer Trans Liberation, a grassroots community project, and co-founded TFD, a trans and d!ke-centered party. She also launched T4T Connect, creating space for trans people to find connection and joy.

As a long-time LGBTQIA+ and disability rights activist, Stella co-founded X-S, a project lowering barriers in nightlife, with a focus on accessibility for disabled communities.

Whether through performance as KumKween or organizing radical spaces, Stella believes community building is the new activism—fostering joy, belonging, and collective power for those often left out.

This episode is really full of amazing insight for the creative community and how we can navigate this coming year ❤️‍🩹

Hannah is an anti-disciplinary community artist and educator. Their passion lies in nature reconnection practices, queer eco-education, and crafting collective rituals for transformation. As the project coordinator for the LIOS School of Ecological Imagination, Hannah’s work explores alternative education models emphasising the power of peer learning, collective healing and sharing knowledges. 

Based in Berlin but originally from England, Hannah has a rich background in supporting young people through creative education programmes, and completed the KaosPilot+ leadership in systemic change programme in 2023. She is also a fellow at UNION, School of Creativity and Activism and an advocate of self publishing as co-founder of Notts Zine Library

The last Summer Serenade as we know it with the genius selector Aysun! From bass to Dub, to trippy ambient, field recordings and electronica, their music genre fluid sets are always full of surprises and revelations. Aysun taught me a lot about music and the art of mixing. It's an honour and a pleasure to have them to close this chapter of the morning show. In this episode we talk about Halloween in coming, honouring the one that came before us, using this time to take a real pause and contemplate the most existential questions of our human nature, also that we love our friends and listeners!

REINCANTAMENTO is a Research and Publishing Collective formed by researchers, philosophers, and designers exploring Technology, Radical Imagination and Rituals. Based between Berlin, Venice, Turin, and Milan, we use imaginative practices, autonomous publishing, and critical game design to dismantle dominant techno-political structures and create sites of enchanted hope. As a choir of plural voices, REINCANTAMENTO refuses the identity trap and considers itself part of a wider horizon for alternative, networked futures.

We are going through many topics including how to be self sufficient and find financial support, their collaboration with Trust, working in between online and irl, the recent release of their first magazine nCHANT, and our favourite thing: MAKING LISTS.

This morning I have the pleasure to be with Olenka dj, music producer and radio host as well! We often see each other at parties and events and I always admire how active she is in the music scene in Berlin. She has a special interest on music as a healing tool and the use of frequencies which is perfect to start the week right. In this episode we talk about inevitable beginnings and endings, the difficulty to let it go and trusting the process.

Sunrise Serenade aims to capture the more or less slow transition between the unconscious and the conscious that we all go through when we wake up. It’s a dissection of the morning psyche, a musical travel and an esoteric hug.

In this episode Krohm is back after being on the show last July with some new fresh tracks and after multiple releases the past months! This time she had the idea to bring in the studio rouge-ah! rouge-ah is an harpist, composer, artist and writer with an incredible and unique sonic identity. As I was travelling around I took my recorder with me and I interviewed Léa Charlet (that just deactivated Instagram) who is very involved in the activist and political stage in Brussels and Europe more broadly. I never had a chat on this show with someone that has actual knowledges and experience about political political institutions and this talk felt like a missing piece of the puzzle. 

Léa is a green, a feminist, an activist, a huge reader, a musician, a theater kid and also my cousin. I have been following her evolution entering the political landscape step by step first on the EU then more locally in Brussels and was very happy and proud to see her bringing on the forefront LGBTQIA+ rights, sustainability, social justice and culture. In this discussion we go deeper into her involvement, the balance between politic and activism, burnout, how to address faults and conflicts within our groups and how to feel more impactful in our day to day.

This time I'm chatting with sleeptwitch about how to make the electronic music world more accessible with an anti-classist lens.

Deeply involved in Berlin’s music scene, sleeptwitch hosts two radio shows on Cashmere Radio and SystemsRradio and is an active member of Xcuseu kollektiv and Crush Kollektiv. Through their involvement, they help shape female- and queer-focused events, workshops, DJ sessions, and much more.

This show contains a lot of practical tips especially if you are starting to get into music as a producer or a DJ. We also deep dive about the way the trends are shaping the scene here in Berlin and I get a bit mind-blown at some point.

While I was travelling in France I had the great opportunity to chat with Les Médusés a group of passionate people (that I could call friends) who hold the mission to give space to young, upcoming artists.

They firmly believe that a healthy society is one that platforms art in every shapes and outcomes. They bridges every disciplines in their yearly festival Les Luminescentes and create regular events and podcasts Les Phosphorescentes based in Paris and its region. Experimental, joyful and utopian, their approach is raw and so genuine. We talked about how to start and sustain such an ambitious project, how to work together, the specificities of working in Paris and their inspirations and dreams all of that with some music of their choice.
