The final section of “Tome of Stars”, “Scripture”, leaves narrative behind to consecrate the poet’s enduring, unrequited love as sacred text. Comprising nine sonnets, it transforms the terminal condition of quixotosis (a delusional devotion stripped of belief in reciprocity) into liturgy, adopting the voice and cadence of timeless religious writing.

“Transfiguration” reflects on the metamorphic power in the cosmic essence of the Stargirl when one can embrace surrender and loss. The sonnet explores the finding of truth and liberation by journeying through profound darkness and change, guided by her transcendent influence. Using imagery of light and shadow, life and death, the poem portrays the human struggle to break free from self-imposed limitations, corruption, and deceit to rediscover hope, magic, and purpose. The sonnet’s tone contrasts despair with redemption, illustrating the alchemical process of turning loss into revelation through courage and love.

Not mine, her thoughts, transcending hollow lies,
A call to soar above our long defeat;
Free auctioned spirits, sold for shadowed skies,
Ourselves enslaved beneath the black deceit.

Until all’s lost, there’s nothing can be found.
Through endless darkness, we birth more than light.
In death, we rot to find her life-force crowned.
Embracing change, we loose unchanging right.

Child’s eyes rekindle magic memories;
Mind beacons through dread darkness as our guide.
Incurable disease tastes remedies,
As she unearths sunk keys we lock inside.

Our ever-nightmare, drunk in death’s throes, breaks,
And we, through sacred songs, dare dream to wake.
