With "Motor: Nighttime World 3" Robert Hood returns to the project he first started on Austria’s Cheap label back in 1995 and subsequently continued in 2000 on M-Plant. Fusing his trademark minimal techno into jazz inspired moods and inflections, Hood emerges from the smoke-lit shadows of a downbeat, but not beaten, Motor City metropolis. Inspired by Julien Temple’s documentary ‘Requiem For Detroit?’ Robert Hood examines the life, history and future of Detroit’s motor industry and its workforce, set against a backdrop of decay, despair, hope and re-birth.

Robert Hood - Drive (The Age Of Automation)

Electric Rescue's ability to ease across the full spectrum of techno in his productions has seen him sit comfortably on an array of labels that include Cocoon, Boysnoize Records, F-Com, AFU Ltd and more. His own Skryptom and Calme Records have both featured releases from the biggest techno names and Paris' Rex Club has played host to his very own regular Skryptom parties.

Returning to SCI+TEC for the first time since his exciting 2011 debut, "The Deviant Drums" ep, and coming straight off the back of a successful September thats seen the release of singles for Bedrock and Ideal Audio, Electric Rescue looks to continue his blisteringly consistent run of form with his latest for Dubfire's label. 

The "Change Of Appearance" ep is somewhat contradictory in its name as Electric Rescue turns out another brace of impressive trademark techno. Each of the tracks open on a deeper trajectory but Electric Rescue soon ups the anti as lead cut "Change" rolls out the drums and pierces the atmospherics with its synth stab riff and vocal drop outs, before "Certaines Apparences" raises the game yet further with its crescendo topping moments that fall not once, not twice, but three times.
