It’s no secret that the Netherlands, with Amsterdam at its core has become home to some of the most forward-thinking DJs out there, with artists like Jarreau Vandal, Jael and FS Green just some of those who’s sets are both thrilling and unpredictable, with a Soulection-inspired sound that stands at the forefront for the city’s new wave of producers and DJ’s now coming through.

One of those making a name for himself both in and outside of Amsterdam is @melledj, a young DJ and edits connoisseur with an insatiable thirst to bring smiles on to peoples faces with his carefree and fun brand of edits and mixes. Moving from sun-kissed r&b to feelgood house and afrobeat as he transitions through his selections, it’s no surprise his tracks have been supported on BBC Radio 1, Apple Beats 1, Soulection Radio and Diplo & Friends, to name but a few.

For the (thankfully) sunkissed month of August, we’re thrilled to have one of our favourite producers over the last year in to deliver an About To Blow Mix of breezy beats, tender jams and melodic bops, evoking happy times and hot conditions, perfect for the summer season both in and out of lockdown.
