We’re thrilled to welcome Manzo Edits on our label’s cable mix series, dedicated to record labels and their owners. The new episode is curated by the Manzo Edits, a vinyl-only imprint started by Black Pomade in 2023, focused on cheeky, club-ready reworks that pack punch and groove without overcomplicating things. Each release features a tight selection of dubby edits, often rooted in obscure disco, Italian oddities, and sample-heavy funk cuts. While the label has deep roots in Italy and Portugal, support from DJs and collectors has been strong in many other places, including Japan and the UK. Manzo is fun, is raw, and it doesn’t take itself too seriously, but it always delivers on the floor.

PREMIERE: Phonk D, Sascha Ciminiera - Sax Mode [Footjob]

Luis Radio is one of Italy’s most respected house music veterans. His passion began in the early 1980s, hosting cellar parties for friends and creating unforgettable nights rooted in disco and house. In 1989, he became resident DJ at Rome’s Frankie Go Club, curating international talent and defining a sound steeped in garage, deep house, and classic grooves.
From 1992 to 1995, he worked closely with Tony Humphries at Echoes in Rimini, refining his craft. Over the years, he held long-term residencies at top Italian clubs like Goa, Horus, and Room 26.
Beyond the decks, Luis built his own studio and co-founded Equal and Nitro Records with Maurizio Clemente. His releases, such as Universal Groove, The Violin, and House Music (with Sabrina Johnston), gained international acclaim. He has collaborated with legends like Mike Dunn, Victor Simonelli, Michelle Weeks, and the Basement Boys, among many others.

His music has appeared on labels like Kult, Soulfuric, BBE, Seasons, and Wonderwax, with standout tracks like Organismo, The Timtrack, and Marino showcasing his timeless sound.
Most recently, Luis Radio brought his signature sound to the second edition of FEED ME in Berlin, a party series hosted by the Osteria Tressanti Kollektiv - a gathering of friends united by music, food and a shared creative spirit. Despite the rainy weather, the night at Block1 was full of the heat and soul that define his sets, as captured in the mix he shared from that evening.

FEED ME is a celebration of connection and creativity. The concept revolves around feeding the body with the vibrant energy of authentic food and feeding the soul with the transformative power of music. FEED ME invites to indulge in a feast of artistic expression and immerse yourself in a community where creativity thrives.
