Their love for the music can be heard throughout their poetic and catchy lyrics influenced by the city of Allapattah and it’s surrounding neighborhoods.
Recording an album in a home studio in the center of Miami isn’t without its challenges. Don’t be surprised to hear a rooster crowing or the sound of an airplane passing by. Instead of stopping the flow of recording for every little noise, the band decided to incorporate these everyday sounds into their songs; allowing a further glimpse into the daily life of the barrio. 
The band is composed of Michel Peraza Rodriguez (Cuba), Raul Gonzales Peraza (Cuba), and Estuardo Jose Salazar (Guatemala). Michel lived in Guatemala for 15 years were he met Estuardo through the local music scene. Years later they found themselves both living in the United States, although thousands of miles apart. 
After Michel Peraza wrote an album called Pacifico, Estuardo was determined to produce it, but the distance between Washington state and Miami, Fl proved to be a challenge. Finally after, returning from a trip to Guatemala, Estuardo decided to take the plunge and relocate to Miami to work on the project. 
During the first weeks of living together as roommates, Michel’s cousin Raul visited Miami on a short business trip from New Jersey. After working with Michel and Estuardo for a few days in their home studio, he returned to New Jersey, packed-up his belongings, and return to Miami a week later. 
The first day in the studio, they wrote ‘Fresco’ a song that tells the story of a girl from Hialeah, Michel wrote the lyrics of the chorus using the words “te llamo pa’ ‘tras”- which in the Spanish language means “I’ll call you back” but is more literal and actually says “I will call you behind.” To Michel, the Spanish slang of Miami was very interesting, and can often be heard in the bands many songs. The band’s first single, ‘Pacifico’ is a reproduction of one of Michel’s older songs. Since then, the band has gone on to write and produce songs like ‘Fresco’ that describe Latin culture and slang in Miami. 
Together they have created the “formula perfecta” or perfect formula with each of the band member’s strengths and skills complementing the others. While each is talent in his own right, when they get together, something magical happens. While other musicians have the vision of “getting rich quick,” ASM takes the approach of fun first. 
“If there comes a day when we aren’t having fun - it’s time to move on.” 
At the end of the day, ASM’s infatuation with the city of Miami will leave you with some dope, raw, honest sounds while teleporting you to one of the hottest cities in the world.
