V-Stók returns with a new LP Liminal. In this album the Bristol based experimentalist combines his recent jazz fusion influences with the noise, ambient and broken electronics sound he developed during his last LPs.
The tracks came into being at the onset of the pandemic period, initially as a primarily noise and industrial driven works, and during the course of the pandemic they gradually moulded into a more melancholic and uncanny mood - on one hand driven by melancholy and the sense of impending doom and a sense of fragility, helplessness and a realization that the world as we knew it (‘the normal’) was in fact hanging onto a very delicate balance. On the other hand the album is a longing for travels to unknown and romantic worlds.
The album is available as a CD with 16-page booklet comprising generative artworks and linear notes and a digital download which includes a digital booklet and hi-res artworks. Download codes for the digital release will be made available to buyers of the CD edition.
