What is going wrong with humanity in this world? We are shocked about the happenings in Aleppo, so broken-hearted for people in Syria and we can’t stand this awful situation of helplessness. 

Together with YokoO, who joins us for this Christmas podcast, we therefore decided to raise money for urgently required medical aid supplies for people in and around Aleppo.

Berlin based DJ and producer YokoO is an incredible person and artist and we are honoured to have him on board for such an important campaign! HIs releases and collaborations on noteworthy labels such as All Day I Dream, Musik Gewinnt Freunde or Kindisch definitely put him in the first league of the global house scene.

For many years we travelled to this magical thing called Burning Man. Looking back to our first year out there, we never realised that this event, simply "a festival" to the outside world, would change us forever. 

The community ethos that you find at Burning Man is best understood by its Ten Principles. And once we left the playa for the first time we would long for radical inclusion, communal effort or the fact that people would leave no trace wherever we'd go. 

Our Gardens journey is born in Amsterdam and raised on the playa. Forever grateful are we to what we have learned and experienced while being out there. This year we finally knew what we would like to give to the playa.

Together with our family we created a Monday Landing Ceremony at Camp Bang Bang. And like our other events we started this day with a powerful meditation.
We created this meditation to allow people to arrive at the event. To take a moment to get to know the people and the energy around us. To disconnect from the outside world and enter this magical world we call home. It was a beautiful moment for anybody on the playa to set intentions for the week and take time to realise where we and who we are.

There is no Gardens without the incredible sounds from our favourite artists. Before you the M I N D B L O W I N G set by P & Christian Voldstad. We worked with both artists separately and never experienced their incredible connection in real person. 

Take a trip down memory lane and wander of to the dusty field of Burning Man. The man burns in 352 days, but who's counting?

Here's the recording of my set from the Mixmag Lab in New York on March 30. 

It was an amazing experience to play in the new Brooklyn Mixmag Office during their weekly Lab session. As it was my first time jamming during a live video stream, it was an interesting challenge to pick only a dozen of records to play to the online audience. There were so many tracks I wanted to share, I decided to do my selection from music from some friends & labels I love but I also included a few of my upcoming songs & collabs. 

I'd like to say a big thank you to Rocky & the Mixmag NY team for putting together such a cool & creative production, they were running around all night long to capture all the possible angles (all this while dancing and smiling). And of course, thank you to all the friends & music lovers who keep supporting what we do as artists, it means everything!

An expert at creating harmonious illusions of sound, Germany’s Powel always finds a way to thread together natural elegance and tasteful patience in music. Having learned the piano at a young age and subsequently performed regularly with bands and even an orchestra, Powel's palette of music has a vast and thorough foundation that is influenced by the people and places he comes across during his visits.  His unique touch as a musician is heard by how he captures warm, celestial vibes filled with airy atmospheres together with delicate rhythms and tells a melancholic story fused with ghostly, low slung cuts that are rich with nuance and subtlety. All Day I Dream events began on a Brooklyn rooftop back in 2011 and have since become an international sensation. Around the world, crowds continue to be drawn to the experience and to become a part of it's community.
