Inside, only two protagonists enjoy a preliminary calm, playing each other their favorite tunes, relaxing before the events of the night unfold. An organ-bass-heavy slow wave of air fills the empty halls, slithering hihats, a damped clap and a grossly distorted vocoder-esque voice is calling out your name. Ziger’s Eat My Hat Music continues a strong summer season by welcoming Messier and EZEK to the label for their debut single. Hailing from the USA and Brazil respectively, both Messier and EZEK are well established in their solo careers. A combined discography boasts releases via Awen Tales, Beatfreak, Freegrant, Steyoyoke, Univack and more. The duo's astral sounds have also found favour with a broad selection of the underground’s tastemakers in Danny Tenaglia, Guy Gerber, Hernan Cattaneo, Nicole Moudaber and more. Having previously collaborated on a track for Beatfreak’s Elements 05 collection, Messier and EZEK join forces once again, making their Eat My Hat debut with ‘All I Need’, alongside a remix from Ziger. 

Aimed squarely at a peak hour dance floor, ‘All I Need’ marries trance-inducing rhythms and striking percussion with punchy beats and rolling grooves. An array of squelchy stabs and devilish effects steals the air across the first act, sweeping in and out of the stereo-field, as vocal overlays create intrigue leading into the break. Looking to bring greater emotional depth across the interlude, a primary melodic theme rises, bringing with it prophetic vibes and warm chord changes, before a well-crafted build and buzzing effects spark a devilish drop and charged finale.

The lone interpretation of 'All I Need’ is provided by Eat My Hat label boss Ziger. The veteran Greek artist had a memorable 2022 which was highlighted by projects for ICONYC, iNu, SLC-6 Music and of course Eat My Hat. 2023 has seen the Athens resident be choosy in his projects, with a lone remix of Axel Giova’s ‘Crescendo’ landing in March to a warm reception. Now, presenting just his second production of the year, Ziger overhauls ‘All I Need’ in epic fashion. While maintaining the electric spirit of the original, the veteran artist crafts a sweeping sonic experience all his own, a fiery journey where thunderous grooves meet siren-like wails and panoramic effects for the ultimate dance floor assault. A festival style break sits at the heart of the journey, as charming atmospheres and cosmic spirals give way to glowing vocal motifs and buzzing siren-like wails, onwards to a finale where euphoria awaits with arms raised and eyes closed.

The story about the inspiration behind the remix sounds best in Roy's words:
"Some music pieces make us feel alive, hopeful, and overwhelmed with emotions. That's what I experienced when I first listened to the original "Rainchecks In Montreal" by Guy Gerber. A couple of years later, it randomly popped up on my Spotify, and I kept playing it repeatedly while on a flight. Then I felt the urge to put my take on it. A few moments later, I opened my laptop, edited the original track, and added some harmonies, a melody, and grooves. I showed what I did to Guy, and he liked it. He gave me some good notes to think of to make it even better, which I followed. The result is probably my favourite track to play at the moment, and the reactions it gets from the different crowds are just insane! So much love and happiness."

All Day I Dream events began on a Brooklyn rooftop back in 2011 and have since become an international sensation. Around the world, crowds continue to be drawn to the experience and to become a part of it's community. Spurred on by the music of Lee Burridge and his unique roster of artists, each brings his or her own emotive musical vision to the daytime party. Sounds that are all too rare in the current electronic music scene.

Each year the events continue to spread out across the world. From Los Angeles to London. Melbourne to Moscow, Berlin to Beirut to Brazil and back to their spiritual home base of New York City. They continue to flourish due, in part, to a core ideal. To create something truly magical. The passion to create magic manifests itself  both in those organizing as well as those attending the events.  

All Day I Dream also continually forges it's own unique ambience through a combination of the musical journeys taken by it's listeners as well as noteworthy venue choices. Each location transformed with the event's bespoke production design. Structural art, hanging gardens, colourful fabrics, fairy lights and lanterns. All melded together to fashion an unparalleled, irresitable atmosphere.
