PREMIERE: Pippi Ciez - Plexus (Original Mix) [Inward Records]

Midi Minds Kenya in conjunction with The Safari Collection, Backdrop Agency & Madorasindahouse travelled to Samburu National Conservancy to capture and highlight the musical identity of the Samburu warriors, women and children, in the form of a song based sample pack, a documentary format video, and a Various Artists music compilation (VA). 
This project is set out to raise awareness, financial ability and cultural highlight towards the Samburu tribe and community, through using selected Recordings for the production of this 19-track compilation. It features productions by Laolu, Armonica, Da Capo, Caiiro, Shimza, Sifa, Umami, KEENE, Klement Bonelli, XtetiQsoul and many more, as well as local Kenyan talent, such as Suraj, Saint Evo, Foozak & Dylan-S. 
After visiting the Westgate area of Samburu, and discussions with the community leaders, we found the most common day to day issue they face is lack of educational infrastructure. We firmly believe that this is a cause worth advocating for.
The community is not able to establish a sustainable educational system and that is why part of the proceedings will go towards building a class-room in the primary school and provide sustainable contributions to the teachers fund. The whole process will be part of a documentary that will be released along with the Compilation, in an event held in Nairobi, Kenya on the 30th of November 2019.

'Ukrainian producer AIKON joins forces with Germany’s Daniel Rateuke for the superb ‘Moja’ EP on the Stereo MC’s connected label which comes backed with remixes from Dorian Craft and Fake Mood.

AIKON has been making waves with a string of productions appearing on the likes of Exploited Ghetto, Sol Selectas and Disco Halal over the last year, now he comes correct with possibly his strongest release to date, this time in collaboration with Stil vor Talent and Monaberry man, Daniel Rateuke. They team up here for some lovingly detailed, Afro inspired percussive and synth driven dance floor delights, never short of surprises, drive and tension.

The release kicks off with title track ‘Moja’, offering spartan bass and drums with percussive counter rhythms laying the ground work for the pads and chanted vocals to create a tense, agitated atmosphere. It’s a mesmerising and spacious production that’s primed to transport you to another dimension. The second original comes in the form of ‘Mbili’, a six and a half minute electronic workout structured around chanting tribal vocals, chugging bass and a compelling Xylophone melody.
First to remix is French producer Dorian Craft, a regular on labels like Saved, Radiant and Mo’Black. Here he takes ‘Moja’ into hypnotic territory with a mix that marries wonky synths with an entrancing rhythm section to wonderful effect. The package is completed as Russian duo Fake Mood rework ‘Mbili’ into an eclectic and unique sounding piece fuelled by conga loops, electric guitar riffs, and subtle synth motifs.

This is another surefire winner from connected and their ever expanding stable of true talent.'

Birmingham born, Bali based producer, audio engineer, live performer and Inward Records label owner Pippi Ciez now one of the most familiar faces on All Day I Dream has carved his way into the scene with precise measure. Having previously graced Lee Burridge's revered imprint with the Riziki EP in 2020, contributed to the Summer Sampler 2021 VA, and released his chart-topping debut album Multiple of Three on the label in 2021 including his hit record ‘Lua’ heavily supported by the best in the scene 'Black Coffee, Keinsmusik, Lee Burridge & many more. Lua reached number 1 in 11 different countries, remained in the beatport top 100 for over 2 years and is still on heavy rotation to this day.

2023 has been a massive year for Pippi, leaving his mark on various labels including his own Inward Records La Cuba charting Number 1 in Columbia 3 in Brazil and topping the Traxsource Afro Latin charts. Also appearing on &friends Hidden Hands his remix of ‘Love is The Way’ supported by the king of Afro Black Coffee, and his first collaboration of several with Double Touch ‘Spitfire’ for TRYBESof, another of Lee Burridge’s esteemed imprints. To end the year on a high note his Limitless EP is a standout project of Pippi’s, showcasing musical sophistication that solidifies his place amongst melodic house royalty. For Lee Burridge this has been on heavy rotation appearing in his Burning Man set for the last 2 years for the peak time part of his performances. 

Gaining the nickname ‘The Wizard’ Pippi weaves pure magic when performing on stage captivating thousands of fans over the last 2 years. His sublime sets are something separating him from the majority as he performs Live using percussive drums, analogue sequencers and midi controllers. Infusing Afro and Organic House soundscapes that take you on spiritual journeys, as the saying goes he feed’s food to the soul. 

Pippi has been keeping himself very busy touring the world throughout 2023 gaining residencies in Ibiza (Cova Santa) Mykonos (Coya) Bali (Savaya) headlining countless shows in USA, Australia, China, including 2 Brazillian tours throuought the summer season. This year has seen him grow into a headline name worldwide whist also supporting the biggest names in the organic house and afro scene. He is simply ‘the one’ to watch out for!

All Day I Dream events began on a Brooklyn rooftop back in 2011 and have since become an international sensation.
