Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint rounds out the month of May by showcasing new interpretations of ‘There’ by Jean Caillou. First emerging in 2016, Swiss artist Jean Caillou quickly established himself with releases via Magician On Duty, RYNTH, Sag & Tre and Underyourskin Records, where his deep, melodious sound flourished. Moving forward, July of 2019 saw the Zurich resident make his Sound Avenue debut with a well-received remix of Joe Miller’s ‘The Days’. Deep and enchanting in equal measure, its organic vibe immediately won over DJs and fans alike, sparking what has been a fruitful relationship between the Belgian imprint and Swiss artist. Now, nearly four years on from his label debut and Jean has recorded two artist EPs and two additional remixes, making him one of Sound Avenue’s most steadfast artists. Sitting as a highlight on Caillou’s resume has been ‘There’, a track which served as the lead piece on his first Sound Avenue artist showcase ‘Departure Unknown’. Its romantic overtones and intriguing vocal stylings found favour with a cross-section of electronic music tastemakers, while also receiving a progressive oriented remix from Dutch artist Daniel Van Der Zwaag. Now, looking to breathe new life into the track as we enter the summer season, Sound Avenue invites Berni Turletti, Beije and about : river to reimagine the production in their own unique essence. 

The second interpretation of ‘There’ is provided by Beije who return to the label for their third appearance. Based in Toronto, Beije first emerged in 2019 with a release via Paul Hazendonk’s Manual Deep imprint. Immediately recognized for their deep, hypnotic yet musical sound, the Canadian duo would find success in short order, landing subsequent projects with Stripped Digital and 3rd Avenue, the latter of which preceded their Sound Avenue debut via the label's popular Correlation series. Fast forward four years and Beije are now widely regarded for their elusive production touch, with recent releases ℅ Flug Lab, Proton Music, Songuara and Where The Shadow Ends highlighting their resume. A return to Sound Avenue seemed inevitable and now comes to fruition as the Toronto residents deliver a stunning rendition of ‘There’. Taking inspiration from the original, the Canadian duo flexes their free-thinking muscles and craft a version that moves further into deeper territory. Warm, groovy and undeniably organic; its chunky low end, pixie-like effects and exotic percussive arrangements work in perfect sonic unison. An expansive centrepiece sits at the heart of the journey, highlighted by transcendent lines, thought provoking vocals and glowing overlays, perfectly setting the stage for a finale that is equal parts groovy and emotive.

Label artist Khen has done a special 'Bronzed Re-Edit' of his classic 'Sunflakes' track. As a thank you for the great support we received on his 'Pollen Spreader EP' we're offering this as a Free Download. The Original version proved to be one of the biggest tracks of the summer season, earning regular play from Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J and Guy Mantzur. Eventually released in mid November, the track enjoyed immense success, reaching #13 in Beatport's Progressive House tracks chart (almost unheard of for an underground record). Now five weeks later it still sits in the top 50 and Khen has given it new life with his aptly coined 'Bronzed Re-Edit'. With an indistinct take on the melodies  and new found atmospheric focus, the much loved Israeli artist has crafted another exquisite dance floor gem. It's unique combination of warm ambience and rugged grooves produce a tranquil yet raw beauty. Some artists reputation proceed them, and Sébastien Léger is one of those who belong to that highly regarded few. The French DJ and producer lists Daft Punk, Michael jackson and early Chicago house music to Laurent Garnier as his influences. And somehow this all pours out in his emotive music.

'Love Star' is a super cool slab of epicness! A percussive grooved subtle building gem, teasing gently with tinkling arps and washes of warm pads, that are beautifully layered, while clever delays add depth, whist the warmth just keeps on landing. Sophisticated piano keys and cool 80's bassy edged squelchy hits, create a magical musical soundscape of goodness. 

'Umbrella' shows of Seb's deep side, as intricate tripped out melodies sprinkle effortlessly over this swaggering deep basslined gem. A wobbly top line slides in adding heat, as this playful number bounces along nicely! Pads glide in an out and then an analog synth line guides us cooly along the happy path of sunshine.

All Day I Dream events began on a Brooklyn rooftop back in 2011 and have since become an international sensation. Around the world, crowds continue to be drawn to the experience and to become a part of it's community. Spurred on by the music of Lee Burridge and his unique roster of artists, each brings his or her own emotive musical vision to the daytime party. Sounds that are all too rare in the current electronic music scene.

Each year the events continue to spread out across the world. From Los Angeles to London. Melbourne to Moscow, Berlin to Beirut to Brazil and back to their spiritual home base of New York City. They continue to flourish due, in part, to a core ideal. To create something truly magical. The passion to create magic manifests itself  both in those organizing as well as those attending the events.  

All Day I Dream also continually forges it's own unique ambience through a combination of the musical journeys taken by it's listeners as well as noteworthy venue choices. Each location transformed with the event's bespoke production design. Structural art, hanging gardens, colourful fabrics, fairy lights and lanterns. All melded together to fashion an unparalleled, irresitable atmosphere.
