I really liked the melody and tried to figure it out. Initiatly as a learning proces, but my arrangements started to grow into a song. I've started writing with Counterworlds Voltage II ⍺X about the Ukraine theme. It made me feel the importance of the brutal techno kick and bass, disturbing sounds and the melodic relieve. This is my version of a musical story about hope, peace and love.

The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting occurred on December 14, 2012, in Newtown, Connecticut, when 20-year-old Adam Lanza fatally shot 20 children aged between 6 and 7 years old, as well as six adult staff members. It was during that time that we (Dance Spirit) were recording material for our first album when this tragedy took place so we wrote a song called “Mother, Mother” to help us cope with the tragic shock of this deplorable act.

The song was so powerful and emotional that we decided to shelve it; however, after the last year of senseless violence, both domestic and international relating to racism, politics, terrorism, and other evils of human nature we have decided to gift it to the world. We are starting by sharing the love at Burning Man this year. Music can be an incredibly healing factor when it comes to coping with the tragedies that we can go through in this world. We are dedicating this song to anyone who has lost a loved one to violence whether it has been in war, at home, or in the streets. 

Lyrically the song is written from the point of view from a child who lost his life to the violence, and it  is a gentle reminder to those of us who have to survive in this world; that no matter how ugly it can be, love is and always will be the answer. Metaphorically the bond between mother and child is the strongest form of love to ever exist in nature. It can also be a model for how we can grow to love each other and ourselves.

A couple months ago, I  was extremely sad when I learned what was happening at Standing Rock. Browsing through video's and pictures online, I saw the people's misery and their passion to protect the environment with all they have. I felt inspired to help and express myself through a tool which brings me so much inner peace… my music. Through this process, I hoped to add strength to the voices of those gathered at Standing Rock.
