This tune is the one I most dearly love out of all my songs I’ve made. One of the first songs I ever truly fell in love with ... :) it goes way back when I started as a musician and gives me good ol nostalgia.

When EllE contacted me about doing a collaboration, I jumped at the chance to  step out of my comfort zone, try something different and work with such a talent.

Mirror World

You won't believe this. I was painfully trying to write a track, when all of a sudden, without warning, totally out of the blue, my phone went off. Looked at the screen and saw that my mate Charlie Chaplin had already tried to reach me like 12 times. He had one of his famous SJW rants about how the world was going crazy, blah blah blah. And then, suddenly, at exactly the same time, there was ANOTHER CHARLIE CHAPLIN yelling demagogic slogans through a megaphone, right down my street! Two Charlie Chaplins, at the same time! I was so shocked that I messed up my synth line, and on top of that, I left the mic input open and I have both of the Charlie Chaplins talking and yelling over my track, sorry about the mess folks.

Unite

Lisa wrote the original track some years ago, when the refugee crisis was at its peak. The beautiful melody and the words, from a Syrian mother's perspective, are truly touching, and I really wanted to do a piano take on it. 

I was happy to get to "go" from Lisa and we actually came up with the final part together while playing around with the song. As always Lisa has been a joy to work with!
