I was in PA this last week to pick up my daughter from college, visit family, including my sister's family (she passed away on April 18 at age 49 from liver disease), and to visit my mother, who is dealing with Alzheimers/Dementia. She has progressed far worse than I imagine, possibly the trauma of the death of her daughter. I had not decided on a song until this one was created, all from the   ONE BIG IDEA - Would my mother still remember me the next time I see her? This song not only describes the emotional side of this situation, but also what I observed in her eyes, face, etc. Here are the lyrics and link to the song:

When I was a child I left home thinking life was much better in the world, my grandmother use to say with every tragedy "It's gonna be alright" and she always said it with a smile no matter how she was feeling.  For her 90th Birthday, I wrote a song of the very words she said to me even into my adult life.  My voice is normally very powerful but I wanted to sound more childlike because inside some of us remain a child and always want to go home.  I made this song as simple as I could.
